Homework For All Readers

You have to see this movie.

http://2016themovie.com/

I saw it tonight. It is a very serious in depth, academic look at Obama’s background. Anyone who votes for him after seeing this movie, is insane.

Obama thought he was off camera when he said this to Dmitri Medvedev.

    • It would be possible to argue that “it’s not important” (various aspects of Obama’s background) — but there are a lot of facts laid out and well-sourced, much of it from Obama himself, so an approach of “it’s not true” would be tough to make credible.

  2. I thought it was well done. As I’ve done a fair amount of research myself on Obama’s odd background, I did not expect many surprises, but was surprised anyway.

The parallels between D’Souza’s own life story and Obama’s was intriguing.

    Definitely worthwhile.

    he does suck.
    he will always suck.

Did they show that Obama is a shape-shifting reptilian alien or a satanist republican? Besides, Romney wears and believes in Magic Underwear, ha ha 😀

    • gator69 says:

No. But D’Souza related, in an interview, how he received a call from George Obama asking for money to save Barack’s nephew’s life. You see, George Obama lives in the worst slums of Kenya, and his son had a sudden heart issue that needed medical attention. George told Dinesh that he had noone else that he could ask for help, not even his multi-millionaire leader of the free world brother who ran on free health care for all. I guess he just does not concern himself with those who cannot vote for him, even his own suffering family.

Imagine for a moment, that this sick nephew had been the kin of Bush or Romney, if you can. Can’t wait for the ad!

I would think, if that were the case, Mr Obama wouldn’t keep quoting this Bible passage?
“We are our brothers keeper” – Obama

        Maybe, he should read up….’cause
1 Timothy 5:8 has this to say:
But those who won’t care for their relatives, especially those in their own household, have denied the true faith. Such people are worse than unbelievers.

      • kim2ooo says:

In Kenya, it would only take Mr Obama $5.00 a week to make a real change for his brother George and his family.

So does your girlfriend – think about it.

      • Were Obama to be pressed on the “brother’s keeper” line, I expect that his handlers would state that we were taking things out of context. After all, he said nothing of half-brothers.

        Of course, they would.

  5. No. The “reptilian” name-calling is what Democrats use to refer to Republicans. A quick review suggests that every use of “reptilian convention” that is political is Democrats referring to Republicans. The usage goes back at least to 2008.

Your approach to tu quoque argument is not particularly effective, it seems to me. You (from your other posts) believe in carbon catastrophism, which I consider to be rather more dangerous to the world (and rather more expensive); Romney’s religious beliefs motivate him toward charity, generosity, and service to humanity. Whether or not one believes in a God; evidence indicates that the effects produced by belief in his case are beneficial. The same could be said of Ryan.

I note that you do not offer the same scorn for President Obama’s Christianity, and I’d wager that you’ve never made such statements regarding Harry Reid’s Mormon faith.

Do you expect President Obama to momentarily announce that he is suddenly not a Christian, in the same way that he is suddenly no longer opposed to gay marriage? Perhaps you would consider it to his credit, but I think that Obama was not ever (during his political career) opposed to gay marriage. He merely said what he thought was necessary to get elected.

As Heinlein once noted, such men are dangerous; when the wind changes, they hoist the Jolly Roger.

    • Gondo says:

All US presidents are religious zealots by free-world standards, mormonism is just funnier than run-of-the-mill christianity. BTW I think Obama screwed up his generational chance for changing things. but I don’t see how a Wall Street puppet is going to be an improvement. Good luck with dealing with your fiscal problems.

      • You really think you’re a smart guy, don’t you Gondo?

        A real PhDScientist?

      • rw says:

I don’t think fiscal problems can be solved with trillion-dollar handouts, which is what the ‘stimulus’ was. BO is a Chicago politician, and he doesn’t seem to know how to do anything but the usual tricks of siphoning taxpayer money off to his cronies and playing groups against each other. His major (his historical) achievement is to have brought Chicago politics to the national level. Just when it could do the most damage, as it will probably turn out.

There’s also zealotry, but not of the Christian type. We’ll see more of that if he wins another term of office; i.e. more historical achievements are potentially on the way.

Like drug addicts they always want more and more and more and more……..etc………..power. Now the state has the power to make you disappear whenever they want. But of course they never will use that power. Never. They brought us fear and we gave them power. Don’t think Romney will be different. He can’t be different. They would eliminate him.

  8. David says:

Gondo says…”Obama screwed up his generational chance for changing things.”
    —————————————————————————————————
Changing what? Obama is a pure sealot, supporting a racist church. He changed plenty. He increased the national debt over a trillion dollars each year, he set in motion billions of dollars of mindlesss buracratic waste, all of which is hard to stop and useless, he has increased the price of energy and made millions of people dependent on government programs. He has inflamed racial discord and is a great divider, as are all statist. He has changed plenty.

  9. The foolishness of Barack Obama to say this to a Russian official is staggering. He is being careless with the lives of 300 million people. I am certain he is not that careless with the lives of his daughters. But his daughters are not part of what he sees as the problem America is to the world. Barack Obama has emotional issues that are from his America hating, hippie, not so bright mom and his alcoholic, absentee dad. But in the final analysis, I really do think God made Barack Obama President of America to help wake Americans up to where America has come to.

I did see the movie. I’ve not really been a big fan of Dinesh D’Souza. I have always thought he’s a bit Pollyanna. But the movie turned to be better than I thought it would be. He makes a strong case. The three parts that were the most convincing were the interview with Obama’s half brother, the interview with the close friend of his father, and the phone interview with Shelby Steele.

  10. Barack Obama is a perfect example of why the Founding Fathers said one of the qualification for a person running for President is that both parent must have been born in the United States.

  11. slimething says:

I took the whole family to watch 2016 last night.

It was obvious to me Obama is a Marxist, but questions when unanswered as to some of his actions, a main one being why he returned the bust of Winston Churchill to GB. It was answered convincingly in the movie.

Gondo, just why do you think Obama returned it?

    • Gondo is just going to repeat the party line. Don’t look for any real opinion from him.

      • Gond says:

How come denialists are often republicans? Why don’t you blame them for being anti-science and pushing the “party-line”?

Creationism is another case in point – only people of certain religions get conviced that creation-science (an oxymoron) works. This is a surefire sign telling you that creationism is bullcrap by idiots for idiots.

      • You think I’m a Republican? What a sorry state your mind is in. You see everything through political glasses.

You’ve never seen my opinions of Ronald Reagan, have you?

      • I’m not a Republican. Please get your mind out of the small box it is in and get in touch with the real world.

      • Gond

yes, you will just repeat what the left of politics says about things. You think you are original for some reason. But every opinion you have is politically left. You don’t see that about yourself, do you?

      • Gondo

you call others denialists? You don’t know the first thing about history. You think what is happening now in climate is unprecedented. You deny history.

Take a couple years to read about the history of climate. Just the entirety of the last 10,000 years will do. After that then come back and tell your opinions of what is unprecedented and what is not.

        You are ranting mindlessly

        ================================================================

For some reason he thinks he is the open minded thinker here. He reminds me of the “progressive” minded people I see all over California. California thinks it is intellectually superior to most of the rest of America. Gondo thinks he is smarter than what he views as the “deniers”. But they are of the same small minded crowd, cut from the same dreary, unimaginative cloth. The Borg from Star Trek, as you have pointed out also, is tv’s version of them. Be assimilated into the collective. Don’t think. Don’t have opinions. Just believe whatever you’re told and what you read from the accepted group—their opinion of the real word is better than looking at the real world yourself. And a denier is someone that looks at the real world for themselves.

  12. gator69 says:

    stevengoddard says:
“Obama’s brother in Kenya does not hate America, which is why Barack has disowned him.”

Dinesh said this is also why Barry Soetoro disowned his grandfather. His grandfather who was a house servant for the British. When this grandfather retired and returned to his village, he pondered as to why Europeans were so advanced, and his people not so much. He came to the conclusion that it was NOT the white man’s fault, he said that Europoeans were better at organizing and working together. He said of his own people, that they lacked the will to see each other succeed, that there was too much jealousy and infighting.

This goes against the belief system of one Barry Soetoro.

  13. Gond says:

Amino, I’m actually looking at the science and working with the scientists, while you gobble your information from blogs written by amateurs. BTW are glaciologists and meteorologists also part of the Global Climate-Change Conspiracy? How about sea ice scientists?

  14. fridayjoefriday says:

Weather and climate are controlled by natural laws on an enormous scale that dwarfs human activity. Those laws engender forces and motions in our atmosphere and oceans that are beyond human control. Weather and climate existed long before humans appeared on Earth, and will continue to exist in the same way long after we are gone.

Those forces and motions are driven by the following: First, the motions of the Earth relative to the Sun: the periodic changes in its elliptical orbit, its rotation about its polar axis, changes in the tilt of that axis, and the precession of that axis. Second, the variation in solar activity that influences the radiant energy reaching the Earth and modulates cosmic ray activity which controls cloudiness. Third, the distribution of land and water on the Earth’s surface; which controls its temperature distribution, moisture availability, monsoon effects, hurricanes, and other storm tracks. Fourth, the topography of the Earth’s surface which causes copious precipitation on the windward side of mountains and aridity on the leeward side. Fifth, the fluid motions within the Earth’s oceans that determine moisture availability and ocean surface temperatures (El Nino and La Nina cycles).

    • Gondo calls all of those things “vague numerology”. I can’t believe how much of a dork he is.

Usually those like him quit by now because their own natural misgivings and common sense make them see there are doubts about the “settled science” of manmade global arming. I don’t suppose it will be much longer before Gondo will also. But who knows, maybe he’s not that smart and will persist.

      • fridayjoefriday says:

I concur but the question is how long does Steven put up with him before the FUD folder comes along?
The bigger question is who is Gondo’s master?

      • Gond says:

Just explain what causes the cycles and you can argue that one is at play now, provided that there’s evidence for it. BTW I’m not saying that AGW is the cause of the recent Arctic warming by 100% certainty. What I AM saying is that there’s funky shit happening in the cryosphere and similar things have not happened in centuries. Perhaps they did before LIA during the MWP, but we don’t yet understand what caused those, and we cannot rule a human effect out now. It’s that simple actually. It’s entirely possible that AGW is responsible for part of the Arctic warming.

      • Gondo

I have no reason to rule human effect IN.

Again, it’s up to you to come up with proof that rules human effect in. Unless and until you do there is no reason for anyone to rule it in—-unless you want them to be unscientific.

  15. Gond says:

The bare facts are that Greenland started to shed mass in the mid-1990s’ and that the Arctic Sea Ice volume is collapsing for the moment, and it will probably continue. You cannot blame “models” for this.

Freeman Dyson is pretty cool allright.

  16. Gond says:

    Man, listen to the scientists.

  17. David says:

    Gond says:

AGW explains Arctic warming. Nothing else does, except vague numerology in the form of “natural cycles”. If you want to claim that the change is natural, prove it, or don’t claim anything.
    ———————————————————–
LOL, nothing but recorded observations of natural cycles before dramatic CO2 increase.
Hey Gonzo, do you wish a list of the peer reviewed articles on causes for artic ice loss other then T increase?/

    • gator69 says:

Gondo is exactly what is wrong with neo-science. Gondo thinks that we must first prove natural variability in order to disprove AGW. Bass ackwards Gondo. 😉
