Proof That The Earth Is Doomed

In the year of our CO2 god, 2007 – Arctic ice fulfilled the prophecies, and yet again in 2012.    Can there be any doubt that oracles of CO2 truth were correct?

  1. The earth has been cooling since 1998. Pay no attention to the cooling behind the curtain.

The storm, the storm, the storm.

  2. Rick Pay says:

NORSEX appears to be ticking up on both ice area and ice extent graphs and if so the refreeze might be interesting.

The distinction between Oracles and Seers –

Oracle’s ability to foretell the future and prophecy is a direct consequence of their communion with the God or Goddess connected to a oracular site.
A Seer’s ability to foretell future events does not necessarily derive from a divine source or a particular site but arises more from the magic of the Mantic Art.
Goddesses and Gods can manipulate the Seers’ abilities to correctly interpret visions, thus obscuring but still maintaining future causalities.

We have no Oracles but a bunch of Seers.

    The lesson is this.

you know you are a fake skeptic when you hunt around to find a chart to fit your theory.
you know you are busted as a fake skeptic when your cherry picked chart turns around
and bites you in the ass.

Ice however isnt in a death spiral. you can expect some ups and downs for the next decade or two, but in the end sept area will fall below 1m sq km. Ice up against the CA the really thick stuff may take a bit longer.. but give it time.

Mosher, go tell Tamino he’s a shit head for me, will ya? I’d tell him myself but he won’t let me post on his blog.

I wonder what the true margin of error on these curves is. I wonder in which regions the bands thicken (if error is reported correctly) because of reflectance changes.

I am not going to be following the story of the retreating Arctic sea ice in future.I have no idea where the Arctic sea ice is trending and I don’t care anymore .My feelings about this are expressed in the new video”The boy who cried wolf”.If I can’t determine that what anyone is saying about the Arctic sea ice is true it is a subject I will ignore in future.

  8. markstoval says:

I figure there are a whole lot of drunks working in this area. They are overly concerned about where the ice for their whiskey is going to come from. Don’t they have refrigerators?

Oh, and why do we need floating ice in the summer anyway? Don’t have any here in Florida and we are doing OK.

  9. Andy OZ says:

Prediction is very difficult, especially about the future – Neils Bohr,

Ice should hit zero end of october if i followed the current trend on the chart.
Of course, that’s a stupid prediction, when most of the arctic is below zero C already.
I predict that in 6 months time, the ice area will be at record maximum compared to past 20 years.

According to the climate alarmists, winds, sea currents, ocean oscillations, and the sun have absolutely nothing to do with changes in polar ice extent. So obviously the cause of melting ice must be man-made CO2. Has there ever been a more bogus theory?

The impact of human-caused CO2 on global temperature is so small it’s not even measurable. It’s mere background noise — the equivalent of a flea on an elephant’s ass. Global temperatures have not risen over the last 15 years, while atmospheric CO2 has continued to increase. Ergo, the theory (and that’s all it is) of CO2-induced warming has been falsified. (As a reminder: During the Ordovician period, CO2 levels were at least four times today’s levels, and the earth was in middle of an ice age.)

We should be more worried about the the climate turning cold. Indications (primarily solar related) are that we are headed into a period of long-term cooling.

    • Brian G Valentine says:

Right now, we should be more worried about intentional economy destroyers than the weather.

    • Ockham says:

Wrong. The middle Ordovician period had CO2 levels upwards of 17 times present levels. The period ENDED in a 1.5 million year ice age which caused one of the greatest extinction events in earths history.

However, if you look it up on Wiki, they claim that the greenhouse conditions of the Ordovician ended in an ice age cause by CO2 levels dropping from 7000ppm to 4400ppm. Oh yeah, and they say the drop in CO2 supposedly preceded the ice age – I’d like to see the research on that.

  11. Yes We Can't says:

Funny how the eco hysteric fruits & nutters ignored the first six months of the year when the ice levels were far in excess of the 2007 numbers.

Because only selected, cherry picked data is suitable for the enhancing the great con job, the great fear, based fund raising scam.

  12. tckev says:

    A little off subject but…

Oh dear the UN will have their work cut out in Europe, the greens are on the run.
The Dutch have cut-back a huge windfarm project (it’s too expensive) and are staying with (mostly) fossil fuels; Britain has put climate skeptic ministers in key jobs; Spain’s huge solar projects (EU funded) is a very expensive mistake. Poland and the Czech Republic are staying with coal, and now the Germans are not going with the program either –
Der Spiegel writes: German Academy of Sciences and Engineering calls off the climate catastrophe, or as they put it –
“No climate conditions are going to occur here that already do not exist on the globe elsewhere and that we cannot cope with.”

So nice to see some early cracks appearing in this unedifying business.

    • Brian G Valentine says:

Potsdam PIK and Herr Jerk Schellnhuber will make them retract their “denialism”

      • tckev says:

They may well do that but the cat is out of the bag, and even if the Greens hold political sway in Germany, the government understands that it all about the economy and holding the EU together right now.
IMO the Greens pet projects will be sidelined for more important matters.

      • Brian G Valentine says:

They only have one pet project, namely reshape the EU into Cuba.

      • Brian G Valentine says:

By the way the Ruble had no value in international markets under the Soviets, I don’t believe the Greens would find that to be such a bad thing to happen to the Euro dollar.

I’m willing to hazard the ‘prediction’ that by the end of 2013 there won’t be too many people still pounding the AGW tom-toms, at least not with anything like the present enthusiasm. We may well have a lot more pressing things on our minds by then.
