They make money by selling their brand of prejudice to people of like mind. Their cover story this week could have been written in Germany during the 1930s.
Everyone in the Middle East is sick of violence and war. When I saw this cover at my accountant’s office this morning, I felt like puking.
What a pile of crap. I work with a lot of people from Israel, and no one wants peace more than they do.
Ignorance of history, whether from lack of facts or the willful closing of eyes and mind, can yet again be seen in the Time story online. The impression they manage to convey is that the Arabs were driven from their lands by Israel. Nothing could be further from the truth. Prior to creating the state of Israel, Jews and Arabs for the most part lived in harmony. After creating the state of Israel as a refuge after the ravages of WWII, it was Palestinian Arabs who fled based on assurances from fellow Arabs that Israel would be destroyed.
A two-state solution? That is what the Arabs had when Israel was first created. Didn’t work out too well, did it? They didn’t want it then and they don’t want it now.
In a sense, the Israelis don’t desire peace, at least not in terms that involve their destruction so the Palestinian Arabs can return from their self-imposed exile. They made their bed; now they complain at what they have to sleep on.
The impression they manage to convey is that the Arabs were driven from their lands by Israel. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Sir, you are brazen lier. Nothing could be further from the truth.
No, he is correct. There was no expulsion of arabs after the creation of Israel. The facts belie your feigned outrage. The fact that many arabs still live in Israel, and indeed trace their lineage back to times long before 1948 is proof of the error of your insinuation.
“Their cover story this week could have been written in Germany during the 1930s.” Godwins law violation 101.
Classy.
I meant it quite literally, given the subject matter.
Someone does not understand Godwin’s Law…. “Godwin has argued that overuse of Nazi and Hitler comparisons should be avoided, because it robs the valid comparisons of their impact.”
This is a valid comparison, which is not disputable.

Mr Goddard,
You cross the line publishing the pictures. Not because you selected murdered Jews instead of “dead Palestinian children”. Let say it this way – there are pictures which belong to victims. You cross the line. You are pathetic personality.
I wish you zero visitors.
Farewell
The Time article was accusing Israel of not wanting peace. The imagery shows why Israel wants peace.
Of course “crossed”, not “cross”.
