You can’t actually run a country off of global warming BS
Germany to Add Most Coal-Fired Plants in Two Decades, IWR Says By Stefan Nicola – Feb 27, 2013 2:55 AM MT
Germany will this year start up more coal-fired power stations than at any time in the past 20 years as the country advances a plan to exit nuclear energy by 2022. New coal plants with about 5,300 megawatts of capacity will start generating power this year, the Muenster-based IWR renewable energy institute said in an e-mailed statement today, citing data from the German regulator. About 1,000 megawatts of coal-fired capacity are expected to come offline, it said.

“Coal on the global market is so cheap that it threatens government attempts to tackle climate change, the chairman of the Environment Agency has warned.”
It is biofuel after all.
As is oil. I think we need to start taking the whole ‘green energy’ argument in this direction. If nothing else, the entertainment value of watching Green’s heads explode will be priceless.
Gosselin says Merkel has kicked Schellnhuber and his minions to the curb. The EU seems to be waking up from the fantasy…
The German coal plants are probably the most efficient on the planet (that’s Germans for you). ‘Das Auto’ needs cheap energy to make them and the German economy relies on selling expensive cars to the rest of the world. How stupid do you have to be not to burn cheap coal? (A: As stupid as the UK )
Unfortunately they will mostly burn local and Polish lignite.
This is a poor quality coal and compared to Anthracite it has lower heat output, higher sulfur, and more ash but it is cheaper.
