Can I have another option please, along the lines of Romans 10: 9-11?

    • How about Revelation 21:27?

Interesting. Are liar/ non-liar and written/not-written two independent axes, making up a quadrant of options? Or are the two axes interdependent? Is it possible that, or impossible that, a liar be written in the Book.

Steve, as you know I believe your website and your posts are unimpeachable as related to science, politics and constitutional government. That’s why Real Science is required reading for me on a daily basis. You might, however, want to rethink your biblical eschatology. Revelation 21:27 deals with the coming King’s millennial headquarters and the center of His government (see, for instance, Isaiah 2:2-4), and not primarily with who is going to Heaven or Hell.

Entrance into this kingdom is by faith alone in the Savior King, but positions of prominence and authority in His Kingdom (or even to see the King) are based on faithfulness after one has come to know Him as personal Savior. In other words, we’re all sinful (even Christians), misled at times, or most sadly, willfully disobedient. And our level of obedience here will be reflected for all to see in His Kingdom.

Perhaps we could look at it this way. We all have something we’ve done and are embarrassed about and wouldn’t want others knowing about for the 70-100 years we’re living here on earth. Imagine everyone knowing our level of faithfulness in the here and now as reflected by being banned from His headquarters during the Millennial Kingdom! It’s embarrassment X 10, but we’re still in His Kingdom.

Jody Dillow’s “Reign of the Servant Kings: A Study of Eternal Security and the Final Significance of Man,” (Hayesville: Schoettle, 1992) is one of the best resources available dealing with these issues. I believe it’s still available at Grace Evangelical Society’s website,

      • I’m not religious at all. I m just poking fun at imaginary hypothetical people from Texas Tech University and the University of Queensland.

It’s not just the lying, it is the coveting too, commandment# 10. The lying is a result of coveting.

“Coveting is a desire, a motivation so strong that the one who covets something will have it if there is any way possible to do so, even if it involves evil. Coveting is a consuming desire, which is highly competitive. It is an evil attitude, which will likely lead to an evil act. Coveting is a kind of conspiracy in one’s soul to commit evil.”

  3. Andy Oz says:

If there is a “heaven” then the old “Thou shalt not bear false witness” pretty much torpedoes the chance of entry. But evangelicals believe “the meek shall inherit the earth” so hand over your money and your assets …..NOW! Heaven is on earth for an evangelical when you’ve taken it all. ;D

Hey, they believe Jesus died for their sins right? Party On!

  5. nzrobin says:

I think the Canado Texan and the Aussie believe themselves to be good people doing a good thing. I think they’re deluded. Can deluded people go to heaven?

  6. Olaf Koenders says:

Sorry, but as a realist, deeply religious people need a better education or a better hobby – preferably both.

    • I’m not religious but I have no qualms against the deeply religious because I’ve observed to many atheists who are deeply indoctrinated or ideological. David Appell springs to mind. So I take each individual on a case by case basis.

They’ll have their virginities restored and then become one of the 72 who tend to the martyrs of Islam.
