It is not really the sea level rising it is the retirees moving along the coast that is causing it to sink. That is why the North east is rising. The people are moving to Florida to escape the global warming and the loss of people is causing a rebound
It’s time for Jim to show he means business. He must move to Antarctica where he can advise and report on the unfolding disaster in relative safety. The Goracle can sell one of his beachfront mansions to help Jim start his new Antarctic adventure. Maybe even loan Jim his Mega Yacht (Ecosuck) until he gets settled.
Hansen’s science (and all of global warming science in fact) is based on slide 11.
That the long-term equilbrium temperature changes by 0.75C per watt/m2 of forcing (after feedbacks).
Slide 11, however, uses an artificially low estimate for the impact of glacial ice and vegetation forcing (the amount of sunlight reflected) during the ice ages.
Land glaciers more than doubled in area and reached as low as 45N (where the impact of Albedo becomes much higher since the solar angle is 67 degrees on June 21st versus 37 degrees in the high Arctic in the summer where the ice forms now).
Sea ice more than doubled and reached lower than New York in the winter.
Most of the forests dissappeared and grassland/tundra/desert dominated the planet (all of which have high Albedo especially when they are covered by snow for 10 months of the year).
Somehow, Hansen came up with just a 1% change in the total sunlight absorbed by the Earth during the ice ages. [The real reconstructions show something like a reduction of 12 to 15 watts/m2 in net solar energy versus Hansen’s 3.5 in slide 11].
So take -12 watt/m2 from Albedo and -2.8 watts/m2 from GHGs and a 5.0C decline in temperatures and one only gets.
0.34C per watt/m2 (after feedbacks).
Basically the same number the current Earth climate is giving us – basically the same number the Stefan Boltzmann equations say should happen given some feedbacks.
All of these basic assumptions used in global warming science build on top of each other and it is almost like they have already determined what the result will be and just build the assumptions around that (like Hansen did in slide 11).

So John Carmack et al. is at it again – is this out in shareware ?
