Question: It seems there is renewed debate on the validity of human-induced global warming. Can you shed some light?
Answer: The short answer is that there is no good reason for any renewed debate. Without expressing any opinions, consider the following facts:
Average global temperatures by decade have risen for each of the last five decades, the longest time period for which there is detailed, accurate global data.
If the warming trend continues, there is broad consensus within the scientific community of what the effects will be in 50 years, 100 years and beyond, including melting of polar ice caps and increased frequency and intensity of droughts, heat waves and hurricanes.
Regarding the question of whether human activity resulting in greenhouse gas production has an effect on rising average temperatures, an overwhelming consensus of the world’s scientists have expressed that increased levels of greenhouse gases due to human activity are indeed contributing to global warming. Given this position, we should all agree that individuals must do everything possible to reduce greenhouse gasses.

With all those adjusted temp records from USHCN it’s no small wonder all these really, really very smart people believe in the “warming”.
IF! COULD!
It is the longest for which there is properly adjusted temperature records. That equates to not having enough data to provide any answer. Only more speculation and guesses.
