But Wadhams has granted the ice a two year reprieve

“in 2015-16 ….. the summer Arctic (August to September) would become ice-free. The final collapse towards that state is now happening and will probably be complete by those dates”.

Wadham’s is a dill! “The world will be a complete snowball in 2 years”. See I can do it too. Anyone these days can make up unsupported rubbish and get it published.
The Guardian might as well rename itself to Pravda.

  2. Andy DC says:

If cold storms reduce Arctic ice, one would think that low Arctic ice is consistent with a cooling planet.

  3. Traitor In Chief says:

There is no way for much of that ice to make its way into the Fram Straight. So I expect the Bedwetters will simply adjust the meaning of “Ice Free” to something that allows for several Million Sq Km of ice…. Probably within the next few years.

So is this Wadhams guy going to put some skin in the game? Maybe sign over all his possesions and wealth to a charity if he’s wrong?
Didn’t think so. It’s nice to have him on record though so we can smash him over the head with it regularly after those two years are up and the ice is still there. This will be right up there with David Viners failed prediction. I can see the quote now on billboards across the country with his picture on it too so everyone can point and laugh when he dares to show his face in public again.

  5. Gamecock says:

Why is Arctic ice desirable? Would you want a million square miles of ice off Virginia Beach?

  6. Steve Keogh says:

Except in the article you posted from the BBC, another scientist makes the 2013 claim and Wadhams downplays it.

You should really read the articles you post on your own blog before using them to slander someone.
