  1. Andy DC says:

You have no right to confuse people with the facts after the science has already been settled (sarc).

  2. Jorge says:

The artic will be the alarmists Waterloo.

  3. kirkmyers says:

The alarmist scientists peddling the AGW theory are not merely mistaken; they are deliberately deceiving the public. They should be charged under the RICO act and prosecuted for fraud. I can’t wait for the day when Michael Mann is led out of Penn State in handcuffs.

    • mark says:

I actually think they’re delusional and believe their own BS. Here’s why I think that. The average AGW hysteric self-identifies with being atheistic or at least irreligious, yet psychology and the study of psychosis has shown that even those that identify with being non-religious have universal religious mythological structures latent in their unconscious (like end-of-the world, heroes being resurrected, creation…etc). The mythology of global warming is a classic apocalyptic flood religious motif. The sea levels will rise due to our sins of burning fossil fuels unless we repent by getting “on board” Al Gore’s ark and save the animals (polar bears). The global warming cult, having rejected formal religious stories have no place to safely contain their mythic imaginations and have thus projected them onto reality and then hijacked science for their Scripture. It’s become a goddess religion masquerading as science and that’s very dangerous to society.

  4. 1776 says:

Man-made global warming is the cause of more ice coverage. 😉

  5. adrianvance says:

CO2 is a “trace gas” in air, insignificant by definition. It absorbs 1/7th as much IR, heat energy, from sunlight as water vapor which has 80 times as many molecules capturing 560 times as much heat making 99.8% of all “global warming.” CO2 does only 0.2% of it. For this we should destroy our economy?

Carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.

See The Two Minute Conservative via Google or: http://adrianvance.blogspot.com and when you speak ladies will swoon and liberal gentlemen will weep.

You could add this NASA report from 2001,
    http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/Newsroom/view.php?id=22250

    “Arctic Meltdown”
    February 27, 2001
“But in 10 years’ time, if melting patterns change as predicted, the North-West Passage could be open to ordinary shipping for a month each summer. And the Northern Sea Route across the top of Russia could allow shipping for at least two months a year in as little as five years.”

“Peter Wadhams of the Scott Polar Research Institute in Cambridge agrees that the Arctic could soon open up. “Within a decade we can expect regular summer trade there,”he predicts.”

So who is still the BBC’s “go to guy” on Arctic? Yep, Peter Wadhams.

You could also add this from 2009, http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8299079.stm, “Whatever Happened to Global Warming?”

“This headline may come as a bit of a surprise, so too might that fact that the warmest year recorded globally was not in 2008 or 2007, but in 1998.

But it is true. For the last 11 years we have not observed any increase in global temperatures.

And our climate models did not forecast it, even though man-made carbon dioxide, the gas thought to be responsible for warming our planet, has continued to rise.

So what on Earth is going on? ”

    Indeed…..
