Can you figure out why Arctic ice melt has been so slow this summer? The graph below provides a very subtle hint.
COI | Centre for Ocean and Ice | Danmarks Meteorologiske Institut
The ice is melting slowly because :
- CO2 has made the ice thin, decayed and rotten
- CO2 has made the Arctic hot
- Weak solar activity has made the Arctic cold
- My living depends on government global warming grants, so I choose 1 and 2
- 1, 2, and 4
- All of the above
That was easy. A big 3

I the ice is a rotten dirty rat. It’s also degenerate.
Ice is allergic to green.
Red and green are complimentary colors. Mix them together and you get an ugly brown which is the color attributed (by association to certain of natures waste materials) to extreme climate alarmism
Yeh.. just like tree trunks 😉
7. Winds did not push enough ice south this year. And Santa turned off the furnace at the Elf shop because everyone in the USA is out of work.
8. Squirrel!
Mr. and Mrs. Clause and their 8 tiny reindeer are vacating in Hawaii this summer so the Clauses turned off the heat in their stable?
I unfortunately know more than one person who might say the following:
Ummm…..the ice is melting slow maybe because there is no ice left?
That graph is helping this one go vertical.

You can watch the thaw and freezing during the summer here with O-Bouy 7 movie, 8 has a movie as well.
