Since the study was released, the US has gone almost eight years without a major hurricane strike – the longest such period since the Civil War.

Climate science seems to be based around finding ways to blame any type of recent weather on man-made CO2, even though CO2 has little or nothing to do with it.

    Lack of hurricanes is a sure sign of Global Weirding, which is totally consistent with a warming planet. We either have too many or too few. Never the exact right amount, like we always had prior to 350 ppm.

    Don’t underestimate the schtick’s ability to manufacture hurricanes. None of 2013’s four named tropical storms had tropical storm force winds measured by land based stations.

    Forecast slightly reduced from spring 2013 prediction, however.

    I suppose that a hurricane count of zero could be above average if negative hurricanes exist. We know that climate change causes everything, so it must also cause negative hurricanes.

    Evidently, back in 2005, many of the world’s leading experts weren’t counting on Dick Cheney’s hurricane producing machine being outed.
