You obviously do not understand the nature of the threat! 390 ppm is dangerous. 400 ppm not dangerous. 410 ppm, VERY dangerous!! Even worse than we thought!
Nonsense: CO2 is not dangerous to us until it is at 16,000 ppm as that is our inhale signal so we would be gasping all the time, but even then it does not kill us.
CO2 is a “trace gas” in air, insignificant by definition. It absorbs 1/7th as much IR, heat energy, from sunlight as water vapor which has 188 times as many molecules capturing 1200 times as much heat making 99.9% of all “global warming.” CO2 does only 0.1% of it. For this we should destroy our economy?
Carbon combustion generates 80% of our energy. Control and taxing of carbon would give the elected ruling class more power and money than anything since the Magna Carta of 1215 AD.

Ever wonder why no one mentions that other evil greenhouse gas that is created during combustion – H2O. And, it is a much more effective greenhouse gas than CO2 – as you mentioned.
It’s because the left cannot control H2O by controlling people. The CO2 scam is just a mechanism to impose tyranny. Eventually embarrassment and ridicule will destroy the current CO2 scam, but the left will just find another one to take its place.

Let’s add the greening of the deserts as the plants manage water better with increased CO2.
That’s why it’s so frustrating to see “educated” people wringing their hands over increases in CO2. The “climate” has actually improved with higher CO2. You would think they would see that or at least acknowledge it but they jump right into it’s “bad”, really “bad”. The mythical global temperature average seems to launch people off into stupidville and there must be some gene that activates their need for doom and gloom. Maybe it gives them a sense of being when they have a “cause” to motivate them. Tons of fossil fuels are used and CO2 produced to erect worthless windmills that basically duplicate existing sources, all in order to get off fossil fuels.
The one thing people who are trying to get people to divest from fossil fuels forget is that only a small portion is controlled by private companies. Most oil interests are owned or controlled by governments.
The following is a comment from a “energy” site frequented by engineers and “educated” people and sums up what they think will happen if people are forced off fossil fuels. Clearly this person raises unicorns and doesn’t care how many people are forced into poverty and what this would do to the world if he got his way.
“If we stop allowing fossil fuel production and consumption to damage the earth and pollute the air for free, our businesses, industries, and scientific institutions will develop improved efficiency and environmentally friendly energy.”

Or put another way, the greatest driver of environmental health is economic prosperity. If you want a healthy environment, you need a healthy economy. Draconian climate policy, forcing us off fossil fuels, threatens the wealth and prosperity of western, or any globalised economy (except China, cashing in BIG time on the scam).
The erosion of wealth would directly limit the ability to divert excess capital to innovate and keep improving the overall environment.

Deep within human nature there are certain types of people who yearn for catastrophe, they yearn to have significance in their lives believing that theirs is the time when the chickens are coming home to roost and everything is going to go tits up.
The biggest selling environmental books in history, predict the mass destruction of the planet. Rachel Carson’s 1962 international bestseller “Silent Spring” predicted mass cancer from plant pesticides and DDT. Paul Ehrlich’s “The Population Bomb” 1968, argued on malthusian lines that population explosion would mean mass starvation around the world. People buy this stuff. They lap it up and books like this sell in droves, in a way that more reasonable books that say “hang on, lets look at the facts”, don’t.

You are too kind. It may well be that the “average man” gravitates to such delusions out of some benign desire to be part of a cause. But, the movers and shakers, the world leaders, the politicians are, in fact, motivated by a desire to increase the power, size and scope of government, which in turn will increase their own power and wealth. Is it an accident that Al Gore became a rich man from climate change/global warming after so many years of accomplishing nothing and living off daddy’s oil wealth?

Quick . . . somebody check sea level. I want to know if there is empirical evidence that polar ice extent and sea level are linked.

but the general trend has been upwards and it oscillates a lot.
Notice that it was ~ stable from 2008 to 2010 and even fell a little from 2009 to 2011.
I believe it’ll continue to fall in the next couple of years.
And now, parts of the Southern hemisphere are seeing a winter like many of them have not seen before.

If a claim is made, I expect info be provided to back up that claim, but no link to back up that claim has been provided.
