“He [Gore] talked about how democracy is being hacked by special interests in the USA right now, about the need for a price on carbon to jump start emissions reductions, about natural gas and the need to be careful that a ‘bridge fuel’ doesn’t become a climate gangplank.”
Translation: He told us that interests concerned that Democracy would be eroded if energy prices unnecessarily skyrocketed from fascist carbon trading and taxation schemes is actually good for Democracy, and to be careful about enthusiasm for natural gas as a “bridge fuel” because that may spell the end of our noble “climate” cause.
Correction to my second Translation: He told us to be wary of those interests concerned that Democracy would be eroded if energy prices unnecessarily skyrocketed from fascist carbon trading and taxation schemes, because he convinced us bird brained fools that skyrocketing energy prices is the Democratic way.
90% of bushfires in Australia are started by people according to FESA and the police. Many Australians build their homes in the bush to enjoy the environment and then wonder why they get burnt out on a regular basis. It ain’t Globull Worming.
It doesn’t help when the envirofreaks forbid clearing highly combustible twigs and leaves and overhanging branches from around and near one’s house.

The Victorian bushfires in 1851 were the worst in Australia’s history with 25% of Victoria on fire. 12 people died but there were only 50,000 people living in Victoria at the time.

I live in the southern states of Australia and I believe that we are yet to see the worst fires, the reason is that our greens have made bush and forest control impossible, fire tracks have been closed, controlled burns have been cut dramatically, cattle removed you know the story it,s the same every where, I live in one of these areas and I take personal actions to save myself and my neighbours and so should everybody else.
The Black Friday fires in Victoria in 1939 were so large, widespread and ferocious that the results can still be seen today 74 years later. Tall blackened tree trucks still tower over the regrowth below them. In 1939, no one was concerned at the level of CO2 and it was at far lower levels than today, Now, the smallest outbreak of fire is regarded as a sure sign of the effect of CO2 on ignition and temperature. In fact. now, most fires are started by firebugs and fuel is provided by Green opposition to hazard reduction in vegetated areas.
