He told three climate change LIES, one after the other!
LIE #1: “What we do know is the temperature around the globe is increasing faster than was predicted even 10 years ago.”
LIE #2: “We do know that the Arctic ice cap is melting faster than was predicted even five years ago.” By November 14, the Arctic ice cap had already regrown at a faster rate than at any time during the satellite record.
LIE #3: “We do know that there have been extraordinarily — there have been an extraordinarily large number of severe weather events here in North America, but also around the globe.”
What? Extraordinarily large number of severe weather events? Was he including colder temperatures and greater snow events around the globe–including four of the five snowiest northern hemisphere winters on record, all four of which happened since 2008?
(But his premise was leading to the impression that he was talking about *warming* weather events, such as from all that fictitious, boiling heat rising faster than expected, which is fictitiously melting our ice caps faster than predicted.)
DOUBLETALK: “But it’s important because, you know, one of the things that we don’t always factor in are the costs involved in these natural disasters. We’d — we just put them off as — as something that’s unconnected to our behavior right now, and I think what, based on the evidence, we’re seeing is — is that what we do now is going to have an impact and a cost down the road if — if — if we don’t do something about it.”
(In other words, it may be a “natural” disaster, but he’s prepared to blame me for it, and then reach down into my pocket and make me pay for it.)
I watched that press conference. I was yelling at the TV.
