The overwhelming majority of people in northeastern Colorado want to secede from the People’s Demokraptik Republik of Boulder/Denver (formerly known as Colorado) but it is not going to happen unless the Senate switches to Republican hands next year.
The problem is that we need the US Senate to agree to it, and adding two Republican Senators would wipe the Dems out of power. It is amazing reading the comments from the Dems in the Fort Collins paper, who belittle and degrade the people of those counties – and can’t understand why they would want to escape forced governance by know-nothing, do-nothing, contribute-nothing, bigoted, small-minded, hateful, lunatics like themselves.
One thing progressives can’t stand is happy and free people who don’t share their endless neuroses.
Maybe the North Coloradans can buy large ads in Denver newspapers. “You know how we in the north of the state are always arguing when you want to pass new programs? Just cut us loose. Let us go. Once we are gone, you will be able to institute new programs without battling us and our never ending lawsuits and protests. Let us go — then you can make Colorado into a Utopia!”
And I suspect some blue states aren’t really blue. That perhaps their broader elections are stolen by a corrupt team of Scum-o-crats in the large urban areas. We seem to have that happening here in the Emerald state.

No, they can’t afford to lose the tax revenue that the productive members of society provide.
My wife has a friend who is a single mother. Due to the Affordable Health Care Act, Obamacare, she now gets birth control pills for free. She whipped out her free pills one day and said “Thank you President Obama.” She went on to explain that if the government had provided her with free pills prior to her getting pregnant, she would not have her child. In other words, it was the governments fault she got pregnant. I told her you’re welcome for the pills. She get where I was coming from.
“She didn’t get where I was coming from.” I’m havig typing issues lately.
We were also in a discussion one night about where the government gets its money. We tried to explain to her that it either prints money, takes money by force in the form of taxes, or borrows money from elsewhere. That was too complicated for her. At one point someone at the table called her a retard.
