California Bans Transportation

Last week California banned the sale of gasoline powered cars, and this week they are telling people not to use their electric cars because the state doesn’t have enough electricity.

“The top three conservation actions are to set thermostats to 78 degrees or higher, avoid using large appliances and charging electric vehicles, and turn off unnecessary lights.”

End Of Summer Greenland Report

Over the past year, the surface of the Greenland ice sheet has gained 467 billion tons of snow and ice, including 18 billion tons over the last four days. More will likely accumulate today. This is the fourth year out of the last six which Greenland’s surface has gained above normal amounts of ice.

The mass gain this year was about 100 billion tons above the 1981-2010 average, with most of the excess occurring at lower elevations.

Agricultural Heat Islands

US summer afternoon temperatures have not increased over the last 60 years, but nighttime temperatures have.

The increase correlates with the increase in corn yields in the US.

Democrats’ Plan To Bury Virginia In California’s Idiocy

“When Democrats controlled both houses of the Virginia legislature, they passed a law binding the state to the automobile standards dictated by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), according to The Hill. Republicans have thus far failed to repeal the law.

Virginia Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares’s office confirmed to the outlet that the 2021 law was still in effect and that CARB’s rule requiring the end of fossil-fueled car sales by 2035 is therefore binding to the state. The California rule will not take effect in Virginia until 2024.”

Record Cold In Australia

“The temperature in Alice Springs has dropped below zero degrees Celsius for 12 consecutive mornings.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology – which has been keeping records of temperatures in Alice Springs for 81 years –  that has surpassed the previous longest streak of below-zero days set in July 1976. “
