Romm Confirms Early 1970s Ice Age Scare

Graph of published warming/cooling papers which some warmists found in a literature review. Not too surprising since NCAR showed it rapidly cooling.

Among those warning of an ice age was Obama’s science advisor.

….and in those times, there will be warmth and rumors of warmth…

    • Erik says:

…..and there shall in that time be rumors of things going astray, erm, and there shall be a great confusion as to where things really are, and nobody will really know where lieth those little things with the sort of raffia-work base, that has an attachment. At that time, a friend shall lose his friend’s hammer, and the young shall not know where lieth the things possessed by their fathers that their fathers put there only just the night before, about eight O’clock.

They blamed Particulates as being the cause without realizing that natural changes in cloud extent produce more extreme changes in energy reaching the ground than any minor human contribution. The changes in Cloud cover and the effect on global climate make CO2 contribution like adding a drop of water to the ocean and claiming sea levels are rising.

Thanks for the environment-friendly recycling of old posts.

Doesn’t matter. There’s bupkis in this post that you haven’t already repeated ad nauseum. That’s why I thanked you for your recycling efforts.

Why do you think you you are the arbitor of what should be written or commented on? You know, you don’t have to comment on everything you don’t like. MoveOn to something else if you think it is repeated. Maybe you can find some Media that Matters to you, or some MediaMatters, or something like that.

Put your fingers in your ears ChrisD and keep saying “lalalalalalalalalala, doesn’t matter, lalalalalalala, I can’t hear you, lalalalalalala”

        repeated ad nauseum.

You know what repeating ad nauseam means, don’t you Chris….. hows that aerosol thing going for you?

Oh ya, since you’re a stickler for spelling moron right, how do you spell ad nauseum? Did you get it right? Coz I’m juz wonrin.

      • ChrisD says:

Yes, I know how you guys love it when Steve repeats the same stuff over and over. Comforting. But no one should point that out. I understand.

      • ChrisD says:

        @Glacierman:

You know, you don’t have to comment on everything you don’t like.

Trust me, I only comment on about 10% of the stupid stuff that Steve posts.

      • ChrisD says:

since you’re a stickler for spelling moron right

You really should look back and see who it was who got all upset about how moron is spelled. (Hint: It wasn’t me.)

        Liar

OK, Amino, listen up, and this time listen carefully.

On 10/30 I posted a comment using Bugs’s phrase “What a maroon.” Mike the Denier started ROFLing and ROFLMAOing and LOLing and wetting his pants about how I’m so stupid that I don’t even know how to spell “moron.”

Two days later, Steve also posted a comment with “What a maroon.” I replied, playing the part of Mike the Denier and basically repeating what he said without all the ROFLing. IT WAS A JOKE. It was clearly and obviously referencing the earlier exchange.

You just didn’t get it, and you still don’t, even though I already explained this to you the first time.

And you have the friggin’ nerve to call me a liar? Jesus.

I wish WordPress had an “ignore user” feature. ChrisD would be my first addition.

Fortunately for us, Czar John Holdren saw the light… or the warmth… and decided the climate was not cooling but was simply disrupted. Not this year though, but over ten years ago – please see “The Curious History of ‘Global Climate Disruption’ ” http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/10/the_curious_history_of_global.html

  6. Sundance says:

Chris – I let my close personal friend Dick Bubkus review this thread and he was unable to find a single iota of bubkus. He was however pissed that you used the Yiddish version of his name.

    • ChrisD says:

I know Bubkus. The guy took one too many helmet-to-helmet hits. He wouldn’t recognize an Iota if he got run over by one of them, and they’re illegal to drive in the US anyway.

  7. Tony Duncan says:

    Chris,

remember what I wrote to you in the other post. Both of us have completely debunked the 70’s ice age canard. You can’t convince anyone of anything they don’t want to believe here. If you just get mad when someone posts an irrational comment you will miss the wonder of what is the denyblogosphere* – A fantasyland rich with opportunities to have fun that are just completely unavailable in the real world.

And if you see Lazarus PLEASE thank him for me for the article on funding. What a HOOT that Koch made his millions building oil refineries for Stalin. Now THERE”s a committed capitalist for ya. Still laughing about that one.
