The wonderfull thing about this winter is that very few people are paying attention to this bit of climate astrology.
Actually, I hope everyone in The UK pays very close attention. You see people suddenly get very good with numbers when there is money involved. The Brits are paying more for energy that may not even be there when needed. In addition they can’t afford to properly grit the roads but there sending money to Africa to help them deal with climate change. In fact the amount of money the government intends to send to developing countries is almost identical to the amount of money they will save by tripling college tuition. So I say let the good professor talk all he wants. He’s not building support, he’s inadvertantly fomenting rebellion.
Personally I would not associate climatology with Astrology because most Astrologers do not think they are involved in scientific research.
The Pathological Science behind climatology that Anderson promotes is going nowhere fast and every global get together to party over the CAUSE just puts understanding and advancing real science that much further in the toilet and harder to resuscitate.
It is groups like Tyndall Center for climate change research that do real science the most harm.
It is obvious the he does not know anything about Astrology and he needs to work on his presentations to get the attention that Big Jim gets. I think Moon-Bat has him beat also!
Well, most of the hippies who attended Cancun put more faith in Astrology than science.
It’s strange, but back in the 60’s when we had real hippies, they were totally anti-science, shunning all technology.

If you ride a bike watch out for new cars. I am applying for funding for a study to show that global warming amplifies “new car smell” which in turn is dangerous to people on bikes. $10,000,000.00 should be enough for me to do the research. I know this is not as important as the German research showing that daily viewing of womens’ breasts improves male health, but that funding has been milked dry.

Big push likewise here in Oz from the Fairfax newspapers (eg. think Guardian…). Assuming ‘way above even IPCC AR4 estimates they have Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle are all metaphorically sinking beneath the waves, and George Soros has a piece on REDD+. Somewhat amazing to me is he criticises Kyoto related carbon trading as giving rise to “many abuses”, but takes REDD+ on face value as the best thing since the invention of derivatives or something. One look at REDD+ and I was horrified, it will be a long list of illegal logging and vaporware forests I am very sure.
He is financially involved in REDD! He has now pulled out of Carbon trading!
Well, you have to admire the Beeb for their ballsy timing of such an article.
I can imagine their readers sitting right up close to their fires, dressed in several layers of coats, reading this article and not being able to laugh as much as they would like because of the extreme cold.

You know, there’s only about 10 “developed” countries that are supposed to pay for global warming.
It doesn’t help their cause to call it the warmest year, when those 10 countries are buried under snow in the middle of December.
Havanna Cuba new all time december low today 7 degree C, Vladivostok Russia less than 0,1 degree C from its December low (-31 degree C), both records within the 24 hours, but far away from each other. Hottest year ever…. and right now north of Stockholm Sweden -11 degree C, we have not been above freezing point since the 23:th of Nov and it will stay this was at least until X-mas.
