David Parker, at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in Berkshire, says ultimately, British children could have only virtual experience of snow. Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes – or eventually “feel” virtual cold.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”.
CRU………CRU……… rings a bell………
CRUKS
lol, dang it AAM! I was going to use that! I’m wondering how “excited” our cousins across the pond are about their recent snow?
But if the snow now is indicative of warming, what was the lack of snow in 2000 indicative of? Is there an alarmist in the house that can clear this up for me?

You might get an answer before the next ice age sets in.
Yes only virtual:

From the snowfalls are just a thing of the past department we have this rare report from the BBC back on the 2nd September 2010.
These bogus scientists think that we are not looking. Thak Al Gore for the internet. ;>)
The times they are a changin’ (and maybe the Telegraph too)
The title of today’s Sunday Telegraph letters page:-
“Whatever the weather, climate alarmists blame mankind”
“The alarmists use any weather – extreme or moderate – to denounce what they see as the wickedness of capitalism”

David Viner & David Parker are perfectly correct in saying that snow is a thing of the past. The past hour, the past day, the past week, the past fortnight, the past month and the past two winters.
David Viner has now moved onto a cushy position with the British Council promoting climate change.
Nice work if you can get it.
British kids have seen enough snow for a lifetime during the past 3 winters.
Notice how the comparison was of the nineties to the period 60-90. As if the clock stopped. Wonder why no comparison to the 00s.
Secondly it was supposedly 0.6 warmer in the nineties. But the expectation was that it would be 0.2 per decade, is the decadal rate going down to nothing?
