honest officer, I have a drivers license I just left it at home…..

  2. glacierman says:

Gotta make sure the forgeries are perfect before you release them.

At least Chris M. asked an intelligent question, which is not easy when your leg is tingley all over.

  3. maguro says:

I think Obama would like to kick Neil Abercrombie in the nuts right about now.

  4. PJB says:

Because he wants to deflect attention away from his REALLY fraudulent acts?

  5. Nobama says:

Why indeed? Well, either they finally have the forgeries perfected, and plan to display them to a non expert/non legal adoring media crowd, who will profess wildly that they saw the documents and all inquiries are fear mongering………….. or,

…..Chrissy is stumbling into a hornets nest.

We will see. It hasn’t been hidden all this time……..costing large sums in atty fees………. ……without reason.

  6. BioBob says:

Hawaii is missing a solid bet here ! they could get themselves rich by selling copies of the actual birth certificate for a serious “fee”.

  7. Nobama says:

Note that he says: “IF it exists, why not put it out?” Isn’t this EXACTLY what so called “birthers” have been asking?

If the Messiah’s official leg quiverer begins asking this question, it could be the beginning of the end.

  8. Bdaman says:

Chris Mathews is a racist for bringing it up. He just can’t stand the fact that a black man is president. He should be fired just like Lou Dobbs. This is racism straight up.

Isn’t that what the left have been saying all along when someone on the right asked the same question.

  9. Bdaman says:

We have nothing to support Obama’s claim that he was born in a hospital (neither of the two hospitals, nor the Hawaii DOH have presented anything to support that claim).

If Obama was not born in a hospital, we must recognize and accept the potential for fraud. Fraud that would permit him to enjoy the benefits of US Citizenship while not actually being born here.

“In June 2008, the American Medical Association (AMA) passed a resolution opposing the practice of home births. Then, in September 2008, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) sued the U.S. State Department for denying passports to Mexican-American citizens delivered by midwives in South Texas.

The ACLU alleged that the government was systematically discriminating against U.S. born citizens on the basis of ethnicity and national origin. In response, the government cited a history of birth certificate forgeries for Mexican born children dating to the 1960s.”

“State and local vital records staff say birth certificates issued based on delayed and amended birth registrations are more likely to be fraudulent. They also say they consider births registered by midwives, and other home births, to have a high potential for fraud.”

It would seem that the only people, who can’t understand that without proof that Obama’s birth was reported by a hospital, there is good reason to be suspicious of fraud, are those who voted for Obama. That can hardly be seen as an impartial assessment of the known facts.

  10. Well the problem is the mail between Kenya and the United States. Its takes a long time to send all the real facts over so that the forgery can include enough true information to seem relatively believable.

  11. bruce says:

the real question is what is going on behind the smoke Matthews is blowing?

wasn’t the birth cert. a long dead issue?

Is it just a means of ridiculing a segment to feed his clan some ego. It is timed about right with the cuba jail staying put. I mean lets face it, nobody on the left is afraid of the birth cert. story.

    • omnologos says:

the fact that this is any issue at all is bewildering…no amount of solid evidence will convince a moon hoaxer that people have landed on the Moon, no amount of solid evidence will convince a birther that Obama was born an American citizen. Publishing the documents will only push the posts forward, as anything can be forged with any level of detail, if one has enough money…just as well, pictures of the LM landing stages from Lunar orbit have not made the “Moon landing hoax” crowd disappear.

And imagine what kind of huge conspiracy would have to be involved, including the whole of the Supreme Court.

If I were Obama I’d leave this whole thing simmering for the simple reason that it will be very, very easy to use it to portray his 2012 opponents as “unhinged” to say the least.

    • suyts says:

Here’s the crux, and I hate blowing up people’s fantasies, but the birth cert. was never an issue. Not constitutional anyway.

Here’s what the Constitution directly states…….No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. (emphasis mine)

So, what does natural born mean? First, let’s start with what it doesn’t mean. It doesn’t mean you have to be born in the U.S. That thought is simplistic and not worth really discussing other than mentioning the fact that many natural born citizens have been born and continue to be born outside the U.S. For instance, my stepson was born in an Italian hospital in Italy. Circumstances dictated this. Born of 2 natural born U.S. citizens, one a veteran, the other active duty during the Gulf war. Is someone going to try to make the argument he’s not eligible to be president? Indeed, 2 twin cousins of mine, born of 2 serving in the USAF in Spain. (They are my age.)

But, Obama wasn’t born of two U.S. citizens. He was born of one. (Sadly a home girl of mine.) If one reads the constitution, this situation isn’t very clear. So, what have the courts said about it? What laws have been passed to determine the meaning of such verbiage?

Well, it isn’t entirely clear, though, suffice it to say, many have been born that have only one natural U.S. citizen for a parent and as far as I know, all have been deemed to be natural born U.S. citizens. Please note there is a significant difference in the meaning of natural and naturalized in this case.

Go hear for a good detailed look at the question,
      http://supreme.lp.findlaw.com/constitution/article02/03.html#t98

Its an interesting question, but one that has already been answered by precedence. On a brighter note, we can still impeach for general incompetence, but we’d have to call it something else.

Be sure to check the footnotes and read them. They are illuminating.

      • suyts says:

hahahahahahaha……..Go hear……or go here…..either way. Geez, I did that on purpose earlier tonight……… well, you have to take the good with the bad…..dang beer.

  12. LindasDuby says:

Any fool knows obama isn’t a born American but a Socialist Communist piece of Dog Dung

  13. Andy Weiss says:

Maybe they can prove that he was born on Mars. Then they can claim that he’s a real alien!

  14. Layne Blanchard says:

Now I’m realizing why this is happening. Some states were planning to challenge his eligibility. So, this is the set up to create the grand entrance for his document, be it real or forgery. With the resources at his disposal…. including the help of much of Hawaii’s Dem Government, there is little barrier to forgery if he needed that.

There is some reason why the document wasn’t presented earlier when it would have settled the question of eligibility. If the document now appears with NO issues, it begs the question why it was withheld. Too much mystery about this guy.

    • Layne Blanchard says:

Incidentally, this means he intends to announce he will run in 2012. This is what states intended to challenge.

But contrary to some of the comments above, I’ve seen presentations that point out you must be born of citizen parents, and in particular, British Citizenry (which Barack Sr was) was the VERY reason for the rule in the first place. The founders didn’t want anyone with unspoken loyalty to the crown.

This is an attempt to quell any challenge before it begins. But should several states challenge, can they crack the nut of discovery, and dig deeper? The administration seems to have been able to control the courts in most cases so far…. so we will see. I don’t think he could be legitimately re-elected, but I don’t expect this next election to be legitimate.

  15. I still remember that Oren Hatch chap saying he wanted the part of the Constitution that required being born in the USA to be president repealed so Arnold Schwarzenegger could be president. Oren Hatch is a Republican……….. Doh!
