Proof once again that man must die so the planet can live.

  2. BioBob says:

Steven, just curious why you posted this tidbit, since a reason is not immediately apparent.

I assume that the 20% increase in N2O atmospheric concentration is accurate, but you conclude that there is no evidence linking this increase to any presumed warming ?

  3. Mike Davis says:

It is caused by all the nitrogen used for the corn grown for Ethanol. Eliminating the need for Oxygenated fuels will solve that problem and increase the life of cars.
I think they may have exaggerated a bit!

    • Layne Blanchard says:

It seems the EPA wants to ram Thru a 15% Ethanol mandate, just as Gore found a ray of sanity and admitted it was a stupid idea to begin with. Congress just passed on the renewal of the 10% mandate if I recall….

  4. Brian G Valentine says:

I wonder if the laughing ass who made this discovery checked the physiology of trees such as alders that mediate N2O from the soil via the bark.

I wonder if he has even a clue of the half life and oxidation rate of N2O in the atmosphere.

Jesus, sometimes I think I going insane or have been transported to a parallel universe

    • Mike Davis says:

When you live in a theoretical world reality does not exist. That is why they are academics, They can not accept reality!
They all seem to have degrees from MSU = Make Stuff Up!

      • Brian G Valentine says:

It’s all Al Gore isn’t it. It’s all about him and pink sympathy for him not winning in the year 2000 (thank Christ).

If it wasn’t sympathy for his losing we wouldn’t have this sewage smeared around academia would we.

I don’t know if we would have something of equal disgrace to take its place, but we wouldn’t have this

      • Mike Davis says:

Actually I think Gore is just a dupe for the puppet masters. This shit had already hit the fan before he got involved in it. He just helped promote it as a means of acquiring a bit of money!
I would go back and look at the 60s and 70s when the promotion of research for the sake of research was started. Academia became a growth industry about that time and Climatology was a spinoff as well as a few other fields of endeavor that produce nothing but allow some to live in a fantasy world!

      • Brian G Valentine says:

I don’t know. When I was a student in a university “climatology” was a field picked up by a few who would work for forestry or fishery who made prognostications about the climate knowing a few general rules about the behavior of the oceans and the atmosphere and the periodic oscillations. There was a start at the time to give it a more scientific basis by understanding the basic causes of things like the ENSO. There was some modeling going on to do that, pretty much leading no where.

These questions are still open, and it’s still going nowhere but made a lot worse by ascibing “causes” that couldn’t possibly exist.

I think a lot of foreign universities in places like China and Russia think Western academia is the laughing stock of the Universe

Degrees from the “Baghdad Bob’s School of Ethics”

  5. Baa Humbug says:

A distinguished professor ha? No doubt distinguished from the rest by the depth of his stooopidity.

  6. suyts says:

Geez, it seems like it’ll never stop. Check the spectrometry. It’s even less than CO2. And much less concentration. I suppose we’re gonna have to ban farming as we know it. It has an infinitesimally smaller impact than the fictional impact of CO2. 10% of human caused emissions? They can’t quantify our emissions. Freaking embarrassment.

  7. Andy Weiss says:

I guess you and I are paying for this so-called research. I want my money back!

  8. peterhodges says:

everything is either caused by or causes global warming.

    can i have my grant?
