    From the article, here’s the real problem,

    Restrictions on pesticide use because of environmental concerns have added to the planter’s woes. “

    Same garbage as before.

    Yeah an extra 0.7DegC will do that to tea. Nth Eastern India has enjoyed centuries of temperatures that never varied by more than 0.1DegC. It never rained heavy, never had frosts or droughts. It was the perfect tea nirvana until man came along with his suv

    He said temperatures have risen two degrees in Assam the past eight decades. “We feel this is leading to a shortfall in production,” he said Friday.

    But the shortfall only started in 2007. Talk about grasping at straws.

    There have been recent news saying that people in India are dying from unusual cold. You would think that would be more important than a slight change in the taste of tea resulting from imaginary heat.
