Hottest year ever – really. Hansen wouldn’t make that stuff up. He is totally unbiased.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

You know….
The problem with all this, doesn’t La Nina usually mean very cold Dec, average Jan, and warm Feb?
Nice pic of general patterns for El Nino and La Nina

Singular records are passe and for losers. We don’t care about a “hottest” evuh record! We’ve been there and done that, I want a double record of hottest evuh and coldest evuh at the same time!
Of course, some pinhead would say it would be consistent with CC instead of an indictment of our temp tracking abilities.
Your going to have a large number posts about the Guardian if you’re going to list grammar and spelling mistakes as well. The paper is commonly called the Grauniad here because they don’t seem to have a decent spell checker or editors of any ability.
I would not worry Tim.
The Graniniaud will probably be bankrupt by next year without all them lovely public sector jobs to advertise like Climate Change Officers and lesbian 5 a day outreach outworkers.
Pity, cos we will miss the hysterical socialist hypocrisy of the likes of Polly Twaddle with their Tuscan villas, not to mention the owners who run the business from an offshore tax haven.
You’re… I thought I corrected that! FAIL
Shouldn’t it be “too early to predict…” indicating excessively or overly early. Further, a comma should be placed behind 1963 as you changed topics and were adding a clause.
“Hottest year ever – really. Hansen wouldn’t make that stuff up. He is totally unbiased.”
Why don’t you show us the proper figure with reference to your own surface temperature record?
Oh that’s right, years of moaning and skeptics haven’t bothered to make one, conveniently leaving them able to cling on to silly conspiracy theories.
I totally agree with Hansen. Overwhelming evidence is that this year is unbearably hot.
Correction: Overwhelming evidence is that this year is unbearably hot (where people don’t live).
Wouldn’t it be interesting to develop a population weighted temperature series!
GISS smoothes UHI distortions all over the ocean and Arctic by ignoring sea surface temperatures and extrapolating the UHI contaminated land temperatures outwards by 1200 km. This is disingenuous at best, since they could measure and use SST if they really wanted to.
In this case I lump in strict UHIE with poor measurement (eg Stevenson screens next to air cons) and land use effects, none of which are known aquatic species.
And NASA GSFC reports UHI is both directly measurable and is greater than previously thought.
James Hansen may not be on speaking terms with NASA GSFC after this little bit of intra-agency sabotage.
It’s unbearably hot for those Inuits in NE Canada. Don’t they count for something?
No kidding, Alert got up to 9F today. How can anyone stand that heat?
