You’d think that if Hansen is at Columbia in New York City, he’d be noticing it first hand. Perhaps he doesn’t consider it to be extremely cold in Eastern US because of “adjustments”?
Instead of flooding outside his window he sees dirty snow on the streets. But I’m sure he’s rationalizing it away and concluding it’s consistent with what the models predict.
Global warming does produce more extreme weather it is claimed.

Really!! Seasonal snow in winter an extreme event? who came up with that daft argument? next there will be heat waves during summer, hurricanes during hurricane season & rain or floods during Monsoon season.
They’ve also claimed
“climate is not weather.”
“Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past”
“Children just aren’t going to know what snow is”
“The effects of snow-free winter in Britain are already becoming apparent”
I done a quick search and I came up with millions of claims like these:

Wow! and snow fall is claimed by them to be an extreme event!
They make so many claims about global warming that one of them is bound to come true.
LOL!
Even a broken clock is precisely right two times a day.
Do they use the throwing spaghetti rule, throw it against the wall until it sticks?

This is not more extreme than what happened during the Little Ice Age. You guys really need to get a life.

hansen didnt claim cold was just in europe. u must know that too cuz…well the clue is the fact u dont quote him
The conditions have indeed seemed bizarre. I was in the southeast the past several days and it was brutal. Easily record low material. I came back to Colorado yesterday to a record high (supposedly 70 F, though I think that was a bit UHI infected)…bizarre to say the least. The record high in CO doesn’t interest me too much…CO has a lot of variability due to its lower moisture content, lower pressure, and location. Heck, today’s forecast high is 23 F lower than yesterday with snow predicted. But the record cold in the SE US has been around for about a week!
As a person who thinks that basic AGW is right (though thinks that CAGW is a crock), I find this sort of thing very interesting and hard to reconcile with CGHG theory. However, considering that many parts of the world have shown significant cooling over the last several decades makes me wonder how much of the observed warming is due to natural cycles with the affected cooled areas having a lower weight in the global average than the affected warm areas.

It seems they got their forecast a bit off. Here in E Tennessee at 8:30 AM it is 5F outside my house. It is 16F at the Knoxville airport 40 miles away. UHI!
It was 39 this morning in Havana, Cuba. I doubt if they have heating or warm coats. They must be freezing there.
how would like this in your forecast….
