Steve are you really saying Global Climate Change isn’t a problem because it is snowing or that they just should talk about it when it is snowing? That’s a bit like not planning to defend your country unless you are doing it in in a bombing raid.
“Ireland To Legislate An End To Global Warming During Massive Blizzard”
It’s funny as hell, and Murphy…………
Like Cancun having record low temps…..
I’m sure that what ever they do will stop global warming.
Laz, how pertinent do you think Ireland’s GHG emissions really are? Given Ireland’s current financial problems, other than sentencing the fine people of Ireland to a few generations of poverty, would these proposals do anything of relevance?
I’m talking about the kind of poverty that really kills people, not the kind they cry about in the U.S. where you are given free food for not doing anything. That and Quixotic adventures is what got Ireland in their difficulties to begin with. Surely, even you can see that these people are having a difficult enough time. Their destruction shouldn’t be encouraged.
You really will have to get a sense of humour, Laz.
Still it’s good to see that you now recognise that global warming is a thing of the past.
I think they already passed the legislation in secret, and made it retroactive, to take effect fifteen years ago. Furthermore, it’s obviously a resounding success. There’s been no significant warming in quite some time.
Never underestimate the ingenuity of an Irishman. I am one, so I should know!
Steve, have you seen this?
Ghost Cities of China
It’s OT, but news to me……

Interesting pictures. A view of the future for some US cities!
It is one thing to look foolish by declaring that snow would become a thing of a past, only to have it strike back with a vengeance, twice; it is another to attempt to publish climate legislation while in the depths of that bitter cold and snow.
Foolishness to the power of 10.
ya but they will still pass it.
Now that the EU has poor Ireland by the short hairs (with what they called a financial bailout) I guess they will do whatever they are told. Poor Ireland.
I wish Bono would get a life. And to think, I used to really like his music. Since he has taken it upon himself to occupy his life with all the rich people causes I can’t like him anymore. They say politics is the kiss of death for entertainers.
That’s all they need with their economy in the tank, At least during the perfect climate we had during the potato famine, they weren’t emmitting all this terrible CO2!
It turns out that warmer temperatures and higher CO2 levels (green fertilizer) promote plant growth which leads to increased CO2 absorption by plants and more evapotranspiration, resulting in above average cloud cover which produces global cooling.
You can eat your cake and have it too!
Neglected to mention that the increased CO2 levels which promote plant growth and accelerate CO2 absorption, decrease CO2 levels which reduce global warming, slowing plant growth and evapotranspiration leading to increased global warming which increases CO2 levels …………
But more plant growth means more vegetation material to decay which leads to more CO2 and Methane which leads to more animal life which leads to more fertilizer which leads to……

That was a climatologist training manual! 😉
