That explains why GISS shows winter temperatures plummeting over the past decade.
These maps don’t include the current winter.

I guess that’s why its called “Skeptical Science.” Because he’s skeptical of science, and likes to substitute it with his own version of things.
This afternoon it was 59 in Nassau, Bahamas and 55 in Key West. Ideal beach weather with our warming climate!
The only human fingerprints in his diagram are the two labelled “more fossil fuel carbon [sic]…”. There’s still no empirically proven connection to the other things he has labelled, regardless of whether or not they’re actually happening anyway.
He also has a hard time separating fantasy from fiction. Models are not “evidence”; they’re theories, and they’re consistently getting it wrong, which makes them doubly worse.
Help! I am totally confused. Isn’t there a new paper that suggests global warming will result in colder, snowier winters in the Northern Hemisphere?
Actually there is research suggesting that, though not widely accepted by climate scientists as far as I know.
What do you suppose would happen if you looked at trends longer than “the past decade,” as Cook did? Say, CRUTemp 1850-2009 or UAH 1979-2009?
Just curious.
They would have to get their heads out of the sand to do that.
How about it Steve? Why not publish a proper and credible summary of the longer trends to see if Winter is warming faster than summer.
Given that winters have been cooling very rapidly over the last decade, that seems like a foregone conclusion.
