The Calm Before The Storm

Until today, we had been having a beautiful December out here in the foothills of the Colorado Rockies. Almost no snow and ice, and I have been able to go  the most of the month without getting in a car.

Ahead of last night’s storm I got in one last ride on my road bike. Now that the cold and snow is here, I won’t be using my road bike for a few days.

In other words, I’ll have to switch to my mountain bike! It is supposed to drop to -4F tomorrow night, so I’ll probably have to put on long pants and wear a scarf over my face when I ride.

BTW – I assume that most of the eco-loons who think the environment is falling apart live in big cities, because everything is just fine around here – in the environment.

    I’m jealous!
I’ll just get on my boat and head up to the Everglades for some fishing.
Supposed to be close to 80F the rest of this week. 😉

Steve can keep his -4 F. I’m jealous of the 80F!!! Sadly, Steve’s going to share his -4. Today, the temp spiked to 69F. Tomorrow night its suppose to be 18F. 🙁

    Steven,

Happy New Year, stay warm, great blog.

Phoenix Arizona forecast is for low 20s (deg F) for the next couple of nights. Love that Global Warming.

Here in East Tennessee I still have about 50% snow cover left over from last week-end but we are expecting warming for a couple of days that will take care of that. While walking today I saw where the Turkeys have scratched through the snow and leaves for food!
