From 1850 to 1950 the glacier retreated very quickly. Since 1950, retreat has been considerably slower.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Oh those Glaciers, they come and go.
But not all glaciers retreat.

Take a look at the last two graphs in this link. Is it possible to detect any human influence here?
Or is it just a normal retreat from the LIA?
Any reason to panic?

Er, so the photo was taken in 1830??
Time lapse geosynchronous satellite.
ROFLMAO!
yep, its a sat photo.
ok, ok, its from a zeppelin
ok, ok, the montgolfier brothers, with a daguerreotype.
We have the Columbia Glacier in the Rocky Mountains (Alberta Mountains), and they have signs on the main road indicating ice in or around 1850, and they show the retreat out of the valley and now into the main glacier area, and it is very eye opening. But it goes to show that way back then, the ice was retreating! But now its due to WarmCold or pick your yes/no.
The glacier retreat in 1850 was caused by buffalo farts. The was millions of those critters back then.
Mine usually shrinks like that when it’s really cold.
Your buffalo fart ?
