  1. Jimbo says:

Why does Gore confuse the weather with climate?

    18 October 2010
“A sudden severe drought and heat wave early in the decade set off the decline, according to a paper co-authored by Dr. Worrall this year in the journal Forest Ecology and Management. Wetter, cooler seasons since then — more to the aspen’s liking — have halted SAD’s spread. Other evidence supports the weather as the cause.”

Right now Colorado has freezing, sub-zero temperatures.

  2. Puckster says:

Well…..come this spring, do you think the beetles will be a “dead” issue, knowing his track record for antipodal results following him around on the causes he takes upon himself to show us once again how much of a Professor Emeritus, I mean, active Professor in our lives? God seems determined that nothing goes his way. From world wide AGW calamity, to beetles….how the mighty have fallen.

  3. Latitude says:

Our old house in Craig was built completely out of beetle kill, and it was built in the early 60’s.

  4. Michael D Smith says:

I was checking temperatures in the area (Gunnison, nearby, shows no warming), and checked out Telluride just for fun… LOOK at the difference between the Raw and the Cooked!!! Wow, these guys are BOLD!!!

Raw (is this an ice age?)

  5. SMS says:

The people in Aspen aren’t completely stupid. They’ve heard of the Gore Effect and are looking for a way of extending the ski season.
