Forecast for Alice Springs was 40 C on the TV news, but forecast seems now be 33 C. That big red blob over Australia seems to be over-egged:
“It’s been 35 years since it’s taken Alice Springs this long to reach 40 degrees in summer.” (The Australian>Weather News, January 23rd)
Our cooler-than-usual summer here in Adelaide is continuing also. Usually we’re having heatwaves now (around 40C, several days in a row).. it has hardly been above 35C, and mostly around 30C.
Next week they will be talking about your recent “heat Wave” That has not been experienced in decades that must have been caused by Global Warming.
