The Ministry Of Silly Statistics

Last week I reported on Moscow’s coldest winter ever – claimed every five years. Today the Guardian claims that China is having its worst drought in 60 years.

This claim is made at least once a decade (usually more often.) Below is one example of many. Fifty years ago they had the worst drought in seventy years.

Chicago gets a dose of warmcold, and drywet.

CHICAGO (CBS) – A brief snowstorm swooped into the area early Friday, putting Chicago within a fraction of an inch of the snowiest February ever.

The National Weather Service measured 0.4 inch of snow at O’Hare–and with more snow expected tonight, the more than 100-year-old record could fall this weekend.

These idiots do not even realize they are their own worst obstacle. Reporting worst in any number of years proves the climate varies due to long term weather patterns.
The Chicago snow situation is anecdotal regarding depth but there is little record of water content in the snow. The temperature records are so corrupted we do not know how this winter relates to past winters and the records are to short to see the long term patterns.

Hey isn’t that why Steve has been posting all these past weather events here.
You know the ones with CO2 below the hazzard levels that Hanson says is safe. The ones the media keeps promoting that causes catastrophic damage now because CO2 is above the safety range according to Hanson.

The only reason the public will see this as unusual is because now days, with the information highway, we see it all in real time everywhere, All the time now. Where as in the past pretty much no one saw the headlines that Steve provides here. It’s just another case of cherry picking by the warmist and alarmist and MSM alike.

I recall NOAA had a list of the worst natural disasters in recorded history. About every third entry was drought in China.

I think it was at the John Daley site Still Waiting for Greenhouse

  6. DEEBEE says:

That’s becuse the Chinese took all their water and converted it to vapor and exported it to the west, which is suffering fromall these snows becuase of that.
