  1. “HEAT IN AMERICA. DEATHS FROM SUNSTROKE. WORK SUSPENDED.”

    There must have been record cold and snow the following winter. Global warming always does that.

  2. “HEAT IN NEW YORK. 170 DEATHS ON MONDAY.”

    Where’s article about the deaths from record cold and snow the following winter?

    Steve, I think this meme you have begun to push has an excellent chance of being supported by a plethora of historical weather data, particularly extreme weather events.

    The CO2 tipping point has already been passed, as some have claimed. To humanity’s overwhelming benefit, we have moved into a more benign climate state. It is time to make diligent efforts to increase CO2 levels higher, as this will-

    1. Further decrease extreme weather events;
    2. Increase the length of growing seasons, leading to more food;
    3. Have no impact on precipitation;
    4. Dramatically increase biosphere growth rates and hardiness against weather extremes;
    5. Increase the range of species currently hampered by cold winters;
    6. Avoid the forced use of expensive, unreliable renewable energy technologies, as fossil fuel combustion is the cheapest approach to delivering useful energy while simultaneously increasing CO2 levels.

    Anyone arguing against further CO2 increases clearly has an innate hatred of humans and the biosphere.

    That was obviously yellow journalism. Before man made CO2, the world was a place of perfect peace, love and harmony. And temperatures and precipitation were always exactly normal.
