Manhattan Still Above Water
The webcam view from this morning. Salon reported that Hansen predicted Manhattan would submerge by 2008, but reader Tony Duncan claims that was a mistake and that Manhattan won’t actually be flooded for another 18 years.

Disturbing Loss Of Arctic Ice
NSIDC reports the lowest March ice extent on record. Areas of red show the current deficiency below the mean. Looks like the Polar Bear populations of Montreal, St. John’s and Sapporo are in deep trouble.
