20 C 1.205 kg/m^3 1.005 kj/kg K
20 C 998.3 kg/m^3 4.183 kj/kg K
If q=Cp*m*T how much air does it take to raise water 1 K?
Why was that not in the article?
This is the Independent we are talking about. It is not exactly renowned for robust journalism.
Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past

FAIL!
George Monbiot – 2005
“The freezes this country suffered in 1982 and 1963 are – unless the Gulf Stream stops – unlikely to recur. Our summers will be long and warm. Across most of the upper northern hemisphere, climate change, so far, has been kind to us.”

FAIL!
Once again they don’t say just how “dramatic” the increase in ocean temps was…….was it as “dramatic” as .01 or even more dramatic??? They also left out, “happening much faster than predicted”.
