Date: Apr 3, 1977At least 328 people were killed and more than 1,000 injured in a tornado which battered wide sections of Bangladesh, authorities said in Dacca. Among the dead were 200 who drowned when a motor launch capsized on the Meghna River near Madarijpur, 80 miles southwest of Dacca.

Bangladesh has had some of the deadliest tornadoes. People don’t think of them as Oklahoma, but they get some bad ones. Also high population concentration and poor construction makes them vulnerable to high fatalities.
Just googled, the world’s deadliest tornado was in Bangladesh during April 1989. Approximately 1,300 fatalites.
