    “. . . . . the Senate’s anti-democratic, super-majority, 60-vote ‘requirement’. . . .”

Well, yes, that’s how the Constitution defines our system of government. It’s a republic, not a democracy, and the Senate was designed to be deliberative and to “cool the passions” of the majority-rules House

These “consensus clowns” think science, life, law, and gummint should be run as popularity contests. They are hopeless, yet dangerous

    Quite right Jim.

This rule was brought in so that some states’ rights could not be overridden by others (particularly more populous ones) unless they were in a small minority.

But then Okenya and his cohorts seem to be intent on tearing up the constitution so why are we surprised when Baghdad joins them.

  3. PhilJourdan says:

America leads the way! And apparently the republicans are the last thinking “major political party in the world”. Let the rest of the lemmings dive off the cliff.

  4. Andy Weiss says:

Lots of words saying absolutely nothing. Cap and trade lies on the scrap heap of doomed ill-conceived ivory tower experiments and nothing at this point will save it.

  5. Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

Baghdad Romm, Barney Fife of the left, standing guard over global warming propaganda.
