9/11 mastermind to have civilian trial near Ground Zero
Nico Hines
Five Guantanamo Bay detainees alleged to have masterminded the September 11 attacks are to be taken to the United States to stand trial in a civilian court within a few hundred metres of Ground Zero, it was announced today.Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four alleged accomplices will be brought on to US soil for trial as part of President Obama’s pledge to close down the detention centre in Cuba.
The Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed the five men will be transferred to the US mainland from Guantanamo Bay as soon as the necessary legal preparation has been made.
He said that the decision to try the men in Manhattan “a few blocks away” from the site of the World Trade Center was a “fundamental tenet of American jurisprudence”.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Eric Holder?
I wouldn’t trust him to give a true assessment of what American jurisprudence is.
