Bill Maher made a movie ridiculing fundamentalists a few years ago, apparently not realizing that he was one of the worst of them.
“we used to hear about tornados that were a few hundred yards wide. This ran 300 miles. They used to just touch down.”
“This is global warming,” Maher declared. “This is global warming – there’s more moisture – it’s what scientist always said. There’s more moisture in the atmosphere. It’s going to cause these giant disasters.”

March 18, 1925 – a large tornado tore through Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana, killing 695 people over 3.5 hours on its 219-mile path. The Tri-State Tornado was not the only tornado on this day; several other tornadoes were reported in the region, bringing the total death toll to some 750 or more, and leaving over 2000 people injured.

They used to just touch down?
Nice Bill. Good that you talk like this and show everyone how silly global warming is.
More moisture means:
—–
“Analysis of trends and of aggregated time series on climatic (30-year) scale does not indicate consistent trends worldwide. Despite common perception, in general, the detected trends are more negative (less intense floods in most recent years) than positive. Similarly, Svensson et al. (2005) and Di Baldassarre et al. (2010) did not find systematical change neither in flood increasing or decreasing numbers nor change in flood magnitudes in their analysis.”

“Fluctuations in some climate parameters”
“Here we report results on those parameters of which we have had experience during the last few years: Global surface temperature, Cloud Cover and the MODIS Liquid Cloud Fraction. In no case we have found indications that fluctuations of these parameters have increased with time.”

You can only laugh at the mislead. 🙂
Those studies need to be permanently linked to on this site!

Ha-Ha! It’s funnier how Bill Maher got out smarted by Steven Goddard and his cunning display of researched facts.
