The View From Osama’s House

He lived about 300 feet from what has been called “the West Point of Pakistan”. The reason he was living in that location is it is likely he was being sheltered by the Pakistani military.
They knew he was there since August. I still say the timing of this has to do with Obama’s reelection campaign. Obama is the one that green lighted it this weekend. He could have green lighted it sooner. And how convenient the Trump issue came to a head this week. The President got to interrupt his show and at the same time look like a strong President.
correction, 300 yards
Make sure you have the correct location. Put this in Google Earth “34.169314° N 73.242304° E”.
Not much within 300 yards.
Indeed Mr. Meteorites! Trump who? What tornados?
Very convenient, was’t it?
…..Bin Laden’s mansion is said to be located in an affluent area of the city, where numerous retired military and intelligence officials reside…… in the heart of the city. It is said to have cost more than $1 million dollars to build, and was reportedly constructed in 2005….. The US has been aware of the location of bin Laden’s mansion since last summer. It is next to impossible to believe that while US intelligence was aware of the location of bin Laden’s hideout, Pakistan’s intelligence services, with their vast links to terrorist groups, were not….. The fact that the US kept the Pakistani government, military, and intelligence services out of the loop shows that the US believed it could not trust Pakistan to participate in the operation…… Pakistani officials knew of bin Laden’s location, and yet they never launched a raid to detain or kill bin Laden. Somehow, the US was able to outmaneuver the Pakistani security forces on their own turf….. While it is next to impossible to know the calculations made by bin Laden to shelter in a Pakistani city, it isn’t a stretch to say that he was confident enough to live in Abbottabad for an extended period of time because he felt that he, and his family, would be safe……

So… war with Pakistan anyone?
It is very unfortunate, very sad, but the way things are trending between the Western World and the Muslim world that could happen some day, World War III.
Probably the worst location and the last place I would have considered…
Too wide open.
No place to run to or blend in, if something just like this happened.
That is a good point, one worth thinking about. bin Laden must have felt safe there. He must not have felt imminent danger having his house in that particular location. He may have felt he would have been tipped by someone in the Pakistani government if the Americans were coming.
Pakistan has probably been aware of his location for years. It was in their best interest to not reveal it!
not probably….
Have you even lived in a small town?
Building that house and what the story was is all anyone talked about…..
Down here in the Keys we call it the coconut telegraph…..
