Why Did These Men Die?

30 Americans have died since Memorial Day in Afghanistan, including one from Fort Collins. 970 troops have died in Afghanistan since Obama took office. What was the point? It seems clear now that Obama’s plan is to hand Afghanistan back to the Taliban.

  1. Michael says:

Afganistan was never really winnable unlike Iraq. Of course the invasions were fiascos in both cases. He’s letting some Taliban continue controlling the parts that they already do and encouraging others to get out.

You can only blame George Bush for all those deaths.

    • Obama said Afghanistan was the “right war.” Most of the deaths occurred during the last three years.

    • Grumpy Grampy ;) says:

You have to place the blame on the actual cause of the problem. Proper oversight by the UN Peace Keeping Forces would have prevented most of the bloodshed due to wars since the creation of the UN.
The UN is a peace keeping organization in name only.
US involvement was a reaction to past actions in those countries and as usual was to little to late!

      • Gator says:

The real blame lies with a medeival ‘religion’ that teaches worldwide domination (See ‘Caliphate’). Islam means ‘to submit’, and that is what the rest of us are supposed to do. If you want peace, convert to Islam.

  2. Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

It looks like troop deaths doesn’t mean anything to Barack Obama. Too bad he doesn’t have to be a troop in Afghanistan. He would learn quickly what the real world is like. As it is he lives in the pretend world that being the first black president affords him.

  3. NikFromNYC says:

    Nuclear timidity.
