In the US wolverines were trapped to near extinction by the early 20th century. Once the trapping was managed, their populations returned and they have been spotted as far south as Colorado. If they survived the onslaught of early American ranchers and settlers, they can survive a mild warming, that is not happening.
I thought they were climate refugees who moved to canada to cool off.
