[1] Look at the World Trade Center towers (lower left side of the island) which were a quarter mile tall. Now imagine the glacier that stood two to four times taller. That monster ground Manhattan nearly flat down to the bedrock. All those dummies living there now are alive exactly because of the NATURAL climate change that occurred since.
[2] Look at Battery Park City which is that substantial addition to the left side of Manhattan adjacent to the WTC zone …
“Battery Park City is a 92-acre (0.4 kmĀ²) planned community at the southwestern tip of lower Manhattan in New York City, United States. The land upon which it stands was created by land reclamation on the Hudson River using 1.2 million cubic yards (917,000 m3) of soil and rocks excavated during the construction of the World Trade Center and certain other construction projects, as well as from sand dredged from New York Harbor off Staten Island.[1] The neighborhood, which is the site of the World Financial Center along with numerous housing, commercial and retail buildings, is named for adjacent Battery Park.”
James Hansen will never even see that addition to Manhattan submerged, let alone an parts of the island proper. Steve, I still haven’t found it but there exists an animated GIF someone did that portrays the changing outline of the island over the years, the manmade changes.
Hey, I think I see a row boat!!!
Two things for people to notice in that photo …
