USHCN shows that Meeker, Oklahoma has cooled considerably since 1950
GISS shows Meeker in a crazy warming trend since 1990
If the present refuses to get warmer, then the past must become cooler. GISS quit subtracting a degree in the mid-1990s, and gave 1998 a super-duper turbo charge!
That last graph, just like similar graphs of GISS ‘adjustments’, has to be the most damning. Unfortunately, I fear even that simple chart is too complex for most Americans to comprehend.
Come to think of it, I’d be a plot of the GISS adjustments for that station over time would look very similar to that last chart. I don’t see any reason why that wouldn’t be the case.
*bet, not be
I have gone back to the USHCN graphs and using eyeballing the 2010 temperatures have been adjusted upwards from 60.0 to 60.6, while the 1940 temp is adjusted down from 61.4 to 57.8.
Are they saying that even 2010 temperature readings are unreliable and need to be adjusted? If so surely this would utterly destroy the credibility of all temperature records.

YES they are and that has been known for some time. Using any surface temperature records only results in garbage results because the best results are no better quality than the worst quality input..The credibility of the records is one of the fantasies being promoted to support the spending on the climate farce.
They are adjusting for sea floor depression. The land is rising, causing Oklahoma to be at an unnaturally high elevation, so they must adjust temps upward to compensate for this new reality. Butterflies wing flapping and all, you know.
