Is Pawlenty A Democratic Party Plant?

Why is this loser running as a Republican?

Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who is seeking to boost his flagging campaign, instead went after Minnesota Rep. Michelle Bachmann in the debate, dismissing her record of accomplishments and results in Congress as “nonexistent.”

“That’s not going to be good enough for our candidate for president of the United States,” he said. “The American people are going to expect more and demand more. And in fact we need somebody who can contrast with Barack Obama on results.”

Divide and conquer. and yes some of the candidates will be funded by the Democratic Party. I thought that about McCain! Arnie was definitely a RHINO!

    • NoMoreGore says:

I believe you are absolutely right about McCain. Money flowed into his campaign out of nowhere and pushed him into the lead. He may not have known from where, but they wanted a weak candidate who was already a Rino. They will surely try to do this again. Huntsman, Pawlenty, Gingrich, Romney – might as well be Obama’s little brother.

Perry is supposed to announce in a few days. Could we get Perry/ Bachmann? Then they can appoint Glenn Beck as Conspiracy Czar. 🙂

  2. R. de Haan says:

We need a President who is:
    1. against the continuation of the Fed,
    2. against the AGW scam and all the related legislation and regulations, willing to role them back from day 3. big Government and red tape
    4. in favor of a responsible and smart foreign policy based on facts, not fantasy
    5. against any further cooperation with the UN in the field of Agenda 21 and other global governance lunacy
    6. willing to use of US resources like oil, gas, etc. with a sensible energy policy.
(coal to liquid/gasoline, diesel for transportation)
Nuclear (preferably Thorium http://wattsupwiththat.com/2011/08/09/further-on-thorium/ ) and coal for electricity.

Stupid politics and dumbing down the masses have cost us 30 years in development.
The time has come to look ahead again.
    That’s all

  3. Blade says:

Some asked if Jesse Ventura was a plant too, a Martian plant.

What was Pawlenty thinking anyway? That we Americans are somehow yearning for him to rescue us?

What are they putting in the water up there in Minnesota anyway?

  4. suyts says:

lol, Guys, it’s just politics……. Pawlenty had to go after Bachmann and she knew it was coming. They are both from the same state. Neither can be considered a legitimate candidate if they can’t carry their own state.

I love Bachmann’s positions on the various issues. In the end, I think she will be too polarizing to win any national election. No, I don’t think its her fault, it is the media which has a fear of strong conservative women. It scares the hell out of them. I just wish our strong conservative women would learn to deal with the media a bit more effectively.

In the coming days we will see more conservatives feeding on other conservatives. With Perry entering the fray, we should whittle down to Romney, Perry, Bachmann, and Paul. The rest need to pack it in, they’re not going to make the cut. It will be interesting to see what Paul does after it becomes apparent that he’s not going to get the nod, either. A third party run will be has helpful as Perot’s.

    • Pawlenty had to go after Bachmann

Well, when I played football, I played to win (don’t get me wrong), but I wouldn’t have kicked the other team in the nuts, thrown them to the ground, raped them, and then left kitchen knives hanging out of their ribcage(s) as a warning.

Mind you well, I’m not saying that’s what Pawlenty did, but this is the GOP primary, not the ??????????? ?????????: it’s a competition for a nomination. Once the candidate is chosen, then the gloves come off and we unite to destroy the knock-kneed stuttering catamite of Kenya.

The further error of Pawlenty’s baseless & meaningless assertions is that it provides legitimacy to the precise notions that the openly partisan news outlets are going to be shrilly trumpeting should she win the nomination. You want to win the primary, it is true, but you must be careful to not damage the other potential candidates in such a way that you lose the election for your party.

    • AndyW says:

The think some very good points there, especially your second paragraph. It’s funny because Hilary Clinton was very polarising in her presidential effort and now seems very good in her present job, certainly not too many mistakes and problems.

      Andy

      • AndyW says:

This is supposed to be against Suyts not Stark by the way. Got the wrong place 🙂

      • Latitude says:

Andy I lost any smidgin of respect I had for Hilary when she claimed that Chelsea was at the world trade center,,,and she had to save her.
When she lied about being under fire in Bosnia….

        ….and for staying with Bill

      • It looks well-threaded to me. & your assertion that Clinton was the polarizing one in the 2008 (D) primary may be the funniest thing I’ve read to-day.

    Steve,

I know this is off topic, but I keep looking at the Sea Ice picture on NSIDC and half of it is greyed out. It has been a while now and I mentioned it before. You were kind enough to post the image, but do you or anyone have any thoughts on what this is and how it is affecting the data? Ice Extent visually seems to me much larger than 2007 but their metric shows it right alongside. Just wondering.

  6. Sundance says:

When I heard this I thought if I were Bachmann I would say this:

“Well I have voted for x,y and z and I have voted against a,b and c. If you consider that the sitting and often golfing president voted “present” for most of his political career, I certainly have done much more than he in my political career and am far more qualified than he to be president, don’t you think?”

The roar of laughter would have blown Pawlenty off the stage, had she responded with something to that effect IMO.

    • suyts says:

Exactly……. if Bachmann is going to make a serious run, she at least must be able to respond to Pawlenty. The Pawlenty attack will be nothing compared to what will come at her if she gets the nod.

  7. Jimash says:

    The debate was unruly.
Pawlenty and Bachmann took themselves out.
    Gingrich was very entertaining.
    Herman Cain was quiet.
Romney didn’t seem to get too much play.
Ron Paul wold not shut up.
    Santorum was complaining.
Santorum and Paul arguing about Iran was interesting.

    • Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

So far it looks like the Republican will be either Bachmann or Romney. But Perry just could be the dark horse. Pawlenty is done. I expect him to give some sort of concession speech tomorrow night.

I’ve never paid much attention to politics. But for the first time I’m going to be watching straw poll results in Iowa tomorrow. I can’t sit back and not be involved anymore. America is nearly destroyed right now. I don’t want to see the Constitution get trampled into the ground and ripped to nothing by selfish and evil men and women.

  8. Independent says:

If you look at their careers as legislators, Bachmann has most certainly accomplished more than Obama. If you look at their personal lives, ditto.

    • Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

I am definitely impressed that she has never budged from he beliefs since the beginning of her political career. If she can become President and more people like Marco Rubio and Rand Paul get elected to Congress I am certain there will be changes for the better. But being President from 2013 to 2017 is not going to be the greatest job in the world.

  9. Amino Acids in Meteorites says:

Looking at the condition Minnesota is in we really can’t have Pawlenty in the White House. If he was unable to straighten that state out we cannot put him in charge of straightening out a nation. Sorry, I know there are good people that like Pawlenty. But you have to take a cold look at it.

Warren Buffet: Stop coddling the super-rich

    http://news.yahoo.com/stop-coddling-super-rich-buffett-084140678.html

“(Reuters) – Billionaire Warren Buffett urged lawmakers to raise taxes on the country’s super-rich to help cut the budget deficit, saying such a move will not hurt investments.

“My friends and I have been coddled long enough by a billionaire-friendly Congress. It’s time for our government to get serious about shared sacrifice,” The 80-year-old “Oracle of Omaha” wrote in an opinion article in The New York Times.

Buffett, one of the world’s richest men and chairman of conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway Inc , said his federal tax bill last year was $6,938,744.

“That sounds like a lot of money. But what I paid was only 17.4 percent of my taxable income – and that’s actually a lower percentage than was paid by any of the other 20 people in our office. Their tax burdens ranged from 33 percent to 41 percent and averaged 36 percent,” he said.”
