    It did hit 115 in Ft. Smith, AR last week and 114 in Little Rock. Pretty impressive stuff, but the 193o’s heat was far more widespread.

    There were 120+ heat in the 1930’s from ND down to TX as well as in AR. Haven’t heard of anything quite that extreme this year.
