I don’t think it is technically correct to use the word “monthly” the way they do, since it would tend to give the impression that it means “for all months” rather than what they purport to mean: “for all Julys”. Then again, they’re obviously scientists at Treehugger-dot-com (A Discovery Company), not writers or journalists.
What a ridiculous photo. Anyone who has spent time trekking in cold climates knows the importance of dry feet. Only a complete fool would puposely dangle their feet in Arctic water. But then those losers are always going for the dramatic pose, to compensate for their lack of gravitas.
Waiting for some AGWer to come in and say that the NSICD chart is being misquoted by an ignorant reporter making up stuff.
Seriously, I can’t wait for all the “we have said all along” that Arctic ice would make some recovery head ways over a much longer slower death spiral… the good news for alarmists is when Arctic ice starts recovering, Antarcting ice will recede.

Roger that. Absolutely imperative to keeping ten toes.
That is a phony staged photo, made by someone with the exact same IQ of that genius in the Polar Bear pen at that German Zoo.
Had to search back on that picture.
US coast guard personnel in survival suits on a NASA-led ICESCAPE project around the coast of Alaska.
But that is incredibly dumb for the US coast guard and then NASA to put out on the internet. Somebody will copy it and be in big trouble.
Is sea ice actually trending up the last few days? Looks like the melt season is already over.
