Polar Bears Don’t Need Ice In The Summer To Survive

If they did, there would be no bears in Hudson Bay – which is always ice free in the summer. We also know that the Arctic was ice free in summer 5,000 years ago.

“Examination of several proxy records (e.g., sediment cores) of sea ice indicate ice-free or near ice-free summer conditions for at least some time during the period of 15,000 to 5,000 years ago”

In recent months I’ve read about 13 peer reviewed papers on the Early Holocene and was flabbergasted to learn that changes of 6C to 10C degrees in temperature rise occurred in as little as 3 years in the Arctic.

Of course there was no scientific consensus back then to alarm everyone that this was a sign of the end of humanity and that is why all human life ended soon after. 🙂

They found parts of trees on the shore of Ellesmere island dating to that period and the trees are thought to have washed ashore from Siberia when the ice shelf was not in existence.

In order to keep the bears happy no matters what, I suggest we encourage silly people to paddle around the Arctic every summer, without any weapon of course.
