Jeff Masters says that above normal precipitation and snowfall is caused by unusually warm air.
Cool February ends cold, wet summer
March 04, 2008 12:00AMSYDNEY has had its first summer in 50 years without a day above 31C, with rainfall 40 per cent above average.
The summer of 2007-08 was colder and wetter than average over much of the country, with a particularly cool February, according to Blair Trewin of the National Climate Centre.
“Daytime maximum temperatures in February for Australia were the seventh-coolest on record,” he said.
NSW had the second-lowest average daytime maximum temperature on record – figures have been compiled since 1950 – and Sydney received 422mm of rainfall, compared with an average of 298mm.
Snow in Florida must require extremely warm air!
Hmm . . . fog only happens when the air is unusually moist, so fog must be caused by global warming. Automobiles have accidents because of fog, ergo all automobile accidents are caused by global warming. Wow, this is easy!
I have fog all year round depending on weather conditions. I have fog when the temperature is below freezing. I have fog when the temperature is in the 90s.
