The ice is the thinnest and least extensive on record. The remaining ice is all rotten, because last year was the hottest in history. We are experiencing a strong El Nino and this past summer was the hottest and driest in US history. Drought ravages the planet and millions flee the heat and rising sea levels. Malaria carrying mosquitoes and rabid bats are spreading across the planet due to record high sea surface temperatures and the most named storms in history.
This can mean only one thing – record low ice this summer.
You nailed it, Steve!

“You nailed it, Steve!”
He’s been nailing his own casket for a while. 😉
IWB,
I hope you are wrong. My sophisticated highly secret system has predicted 4.6 mil K2.. I would HATE to have a warmist beat me out.
But as I have repeatedly posted on here, Steve’s analysis will surely prove correct. The ice should begin to expand any day now and his and Joe’s predictions will be shown to be right on by 9/15 .

We ought to develop an ensemble of all the ice sites… it will leave us less open to charges of cherry picking. As much as I am confident my forecast for the ice melt season to leave us at 05-06 levels or higher, as of this writing alot of the other indices
are lagging compared to this ( again I believe in the end, they will catch up)

Thanks Joe. It looks like your forecasts have been spot on, in sharp contrast to the failures of the UK Met Office.
Yeah, but are all the satellites switched on?
Sorry, but these days you gotta check.
Satellites? What satellites? They don’t need no stinking satellites!!!! Satellite information would just cloud the reports and confuse people!

You forgot to mention the dry lake bed that was once Lake Powell.

Steve,
you seem to have it backwards. Record low temps this past winter, La Niña conditions through most of the year. Record late ice break up in Alaska, Increasing multi year ice and as we all know 2006 has been tracking 2011 the whole summer. You recently posted that summer was over in the arctic, so obviously ice extent will start increasing soon.
Have you been kissed by one of the rabid bats?
Paul,
Why no, I have been dutifully reading Steve Goddard’s blog on climate and drawing the only reasonable conclusion from his analysis.
Sensible man!!
Paul,
so then you agree that ice extent should rise to about 5.6 million by september 15? that would make the 2006 tracking right on track!. After all Steve says summer is over in the arctic.
Ice still melts at the start of Autumn, Tony.
Paul,
But Steve said a couple of days ago that summer in the arctic is over. So ice extent should start increasing soon. And it is going to be a bad winter I hear
Steve’s predictive prowess.

Tony Duncan:
“. . . reading Steve Goddard’s blog on climate and drawing the only reasonable conclusion from his analysis.
………especially remarkable that 2006 tracked 2011. That was the thing that surprised me.
Yes, it’s true that Summer is over in the Arctic, but why do we have to be so closed minded, and think Winter is inevitable? Remember, CO2 is a magic gas. The melt could continue from here and turn the arctic into a flaming acid bath
NoMoreGore’s
well, it is basic math. If 2011 is tracking 2006, obviously 2006 was tracking 2011.
hmm. haven’t heard the flaming acid bath theory, could you provide a link to that one?
Tony, you haven’t heard of the heat and acidity caused by CO2? I’m shocked!
Maybe I’ll make a post on that later. In the mean time, I’ve new post on your boy JH, and would really be interested in your opinion. —– whenever you’ve the time…. you prolly wanna stick around here so you can pick up bits and pieces of this secretive theory. 🙂
SUYTS,
Don’t go saying JH is my boy. Just cause I point out the inaccurate depictions of his work, doesn’t mean I agree with him.
this post about Hansen is on your blog?
