NEW YORK — Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace was suspended seven games by the NBA on Tuesday for elbowing James Harden, meaning he could miss at least six playoff games.

  1. Andy DC says:

That was a blatant, vicious, deliberate act. If anything, the punishment is too mild.

    • Eric Simpson says:

Not much of a punishment at all. That looked like criminal assault, and I think a jury would view it that way. I thought it called for a lifetime suspension, or criminal prosecution.

    Ouch, I saw that hit

  3. miked1947 says:

That should have resulted in termination of his contract with the Lakers and an assault charge being filed against him as well as civil suit being brought by the attacked party.

  4. Chuck L says:

His name is changed but he’s still the thug and punk he always was. I hope Harden sues his ass and he gets arrested for assault.

  5. Brian says:

He should have been thrown out of the league back in 2004.
